Everyone was nice and welcoming. We have attempted suite night award before arrival that failed. It seemed like they assigned us the most basic room at check in claiming that nothing is available. A quick call to the manager and she discovered that better options are available.... Excellent breakfast. Platinum/Titanium receive continental breakfast voucher that requires upcharge to the good stuff-it was worth it in my opinion. Bikes on first come, first serve basis are included with the hefty resort fee of $40. The hotel was able to accomodate an ultra late check out of several hours beyond the standard 4pm late checkout for $99 which was extraordinarily helpful for the late red-eye to mainland.

Great hotel in a central but peaceful location. Beautiful setting, well maintained, outstanding staff. Kekoy and Lissa at the front desk were terrific hosts and the breakfast staff at the restaurant made us feel so welcome every morning. We would stay at this hotel again and again.

Wonderful location and welcoming staff with a few improvements
Stayed for 4 nights and were lucky to have had an oceanfront view. We love the sunrises here and having a grassy location with lounge chairs to look at the ocean can’t be beat. The beach isn’t swimmable during our time. But there are so many nicer beaches to travel to in Kauai. Because they have a resort fee: we were able to borrow, beach umbrellas, beach chairs and a cooler for our excursions to other beaches. We also were able to borrow bikes for the Kapaa bike trail which is a must do. You do see some wear in the rooms. They keep it clean but there are some things that could be replaced so you see the ‘age’ of the hotel. We didn’t use the pool but it seemed adequate. There’s one for kids and adults. The staff was very friendly and welcoming! We enjoyed our stay because of the staff. It felt more genuine than other Marriott beach club properties in Kauai. If you’re in the Kapaa area, this is a good place to consider.

Great stay
Very nice stay. Our room associate, Venus, did a wonderful job in creating a towel cake and Happy Bday message in our room. What a great surprise and made my bday that much more special. Thank you so much!! Everyone nice and great access to pool, restaurants, coffee, walking, etc.

Urgent and Unacceptable – Health and Sanitation Concern in Room 211 Dear Sheraton Kauai Coconut Beach Resort Management Team, I am writing to express my serious frustration and disappointment regarding the unacceptable and unsanitary condition of my assigned room (Room 211). After a 12-hour journey, I arrived at your property expecting the comfort, cleanliness, and quality that the Sheraton brand proudly represents. Instead, what I encountered was deeply disappointing. The following morning, I woke up to a strong, unpleasant odor in the room and began experiencing skin irritation and itching. Upon further inspection, I discovered that the pillows appeared to have mold—an absolutely unacceptable and potentially hazardous situation. This is not a minor inconvenience; it’s a serious health concern, especially for guests with asthma, allergies, or dermatitis. I immediately reported this to both the manager and front desk staff, yet hours have passed without any resolution or a simple room reassignment. This lack of urgency and accountability is completely unprofessional and has caused significant frustration and disruption to my stay. It is unacceptable that a property under the Sheraton name would allow guests to be exposed to such conditions and fail to act promptly when notified. I expect immediate corrective action and a thorough internal sanitation review to ensure no other guests experience this level of negligence. I urge you to take this matter seriously and respond without further delay. The Sheraton Kauai Coconut Beach Resort shows a total lack of care for guests’ health and well-being. The room had serious cleanliness and mold issues, and despite reporting it to the manager and front desk, no immediate solution was offered. They don’t care about your health or customer service. Be cautious with this place—especially if you’re traveling with children. Sincerely, A Very Disappointed Guest
