    Circle of Gloom

For this to be two years old it was very unkept. I am a UVC member and this was by far my worst experience in 8 years. I did not get anything I was told I would get. service was not good in some areas, this was VERY disappointing. There where cats at the Groto begging which I am allergic too. The furniture seemed second hand or not well maintained. The resort was a endless circle and much of our stay was us just walking in circles. (yes we read the signs NOT VERY HELPFULL). the server's Emanuel and Victor where awesome. i did not get my member door sign even after I complained about it.

    10/10 Bachelor trip

Hands down a solid all inclusive resort. The best part was their entertainment staff, Arturo, Cristal, and Sam made every event we attend a memorable blast. Thank you Secrets Tulum for an awesome Bachelor weekend.

    Overpriced and disappointing

We paid way too much money for this experience. Consistent issues with hotel room power and A/C. Food was average all around, with a few okay dishes and a few disgusting dishes. The alcohol is cheap and weak. They may be diluting it or pouring light in cocktails. Not much to do at the resort if you are not into partying. This is not the place to go if you want a relaxing getaway with luxurious food and drink.

    Worst Secrets Location

Let me first say this is my fourth time at Secrets. This is the only one I will never go back to. The food is sad (except for Bluewater Grill) and unseasoned. It was like it was being served for a retirement community. We paid for the Preferred Club and really got nothing for it. The Preferred “lounge” is just a lobby that no one wanted to be in. The Preffered pool was nice but no one was there because the water was too cold. The Grotto in the Preferred area was just a sad cave. We walked in 4 different times on different days and zero people were there. Their menu was just some sad nachos and dry burgers etc. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful. The staff was amazing. That’s true for the other 3 Secrets I have been to. Here though the biggest disappointment was there was NO HOT TUB at all to use. They said they were eco-friendly. What a sad excuse. The beach was great because of the location, but the severs on the beach were less than attentive and took a very long time. We walked about half a mile on the beach both ways, and it was very clear that the Secrets area was the worst. I understand seaweed is natural, but others cleaned it up and their areas were nicer. Not only the seaweed but there was trash all over in the Secrets area. The staff looked at it all day but they didn’t touch it. They would literally go over sometimes in pairs looking for seashells or something but they definitely didn’t pick up any of the trash. All in all, this was the worst Secrets I have been to an recommended everyone stay away until they learn how to do it right like their other locations. The best things here were the rooms, and that’s sad because that’s where we didn’t want to be.

    Great Experience at Secrets Tulum!

Right from the start of walking into the open air lobby and being greeted by the staff we knew we had picked a great resort in Tulum. Check in was a breeze and given a glass of champagne and a cool towel to help relax. Our concierge Brenda R. met us and then had us contact her through WhatsApp and was always checking to make sure that all was okay and if we needed anything. They also called the room daily to check as well. We were then escorted to our swim-up room to start our stay. The room layout is exceptional and well appointed, There was a bottle of champagne chilling to greet us. The view from the room looks into the circle of the building and incredible. The room has everything you need and the swim-up pool was very relaxing. We unpacked and set out to explore the resort & get our bearings. Once you walk around the layout is easy to remember. The lobby bar is a great meeting place and the bartender Julian & assistant Micaela were incredible. They always had fresh bananas ready for my wife's banana daiquiri and tequila ready to go for myself. Our favorite restaurants were Jasmine with server Roberto and the Portofino with server Ventura and manager Alejandro. We went to Portofino to celebrate our anniversary and cannot say enough about the total experience! Ventura was our private server and Alejandro made sure that we had our favorite table & everything was top notch! Brenda, the concierge, had a bottle of champagne sent to the room for our anniversary. The resort is not on the beach but there is a shuttle service running every 15-20 minutes that takes your to their private beach location. It has a couple of pools there, a bar and a restaurant that are part of the all inclusive experience. The beach is absolutely incredible, white sand and thankfully no sargassum while we were there. We walked 2 kilometers in each direction and was very relaxing. There are no racks or coral in front of the beach location and could walk out over 50 yards easily. to enjoy the water. My wife enjoyed the aqua spin and water trampolining (power jump) lead by the entertainment staff. Kudos to Sam as she was great and very energetic! With this being a 2 year old resort everything is incredible. All the rooms in each circular building overlook the the pool and the pools are connected by a waist deep walk through. The pools are surrounded by sand which is a very nice touch as you think you are on the beach. Definitely a 5+ star resort, well worth the price and would 100% recommend to visit!
