Amazing energy and kindness
Our experience at Secrets Tides was absolutely amazing. The entertainers, specifically Gregory and Tedi. They were so kind to invite us to the ceviche making class. We werent able to get in because we were in a hurry, yet they came to us and wanted to book us a private class so that we could get to experience it! They were amazing and even gave us shirts! Such sweet energy they truly made our experience amazing

During my five-day stay at the Secretar Hotel, it was truly a pleasure to be here. I really enjoyed the hotel; although the food is not very good, the entertainment makes up for it. Everyone here is very cheerful, fun, and friendly. The bar service is excellent — they are very attentive and fast. The shows are very good; for me, the best ones were the Beyoncé show and the Rock show. I spent three out of the five days doing yoga with Mayra, who is very professional at her job. Congratulations to her for the great work she does.

Secrets Tides Punta Cana - 10 days of relaxation
We stayed at the Secrets Tides Punta Cana from Jan. 4, 2026 to Jan. 14, 2026. Couple 50s. Arrival: We were greeted by the valet and offered a welcome drink, A welcoming rosé sparkling wine was offered to us as we made our way to the reception desk, along with a warm hand towel. Which is a nice attention. Unfortunately our room wasn't ready yet, and we were directed to the buffet to have a lunch snack while we waited. Once our room was ready to be checked-in: If you're used to travel in a Secrets Resort, we were given: the room key (no bracelets) which we enjoy, the key voucher (exchangeable for discounts on wine, spa and romantic dinner) and a map of the resort. As soon as we finished registering, a member of the reception team sat down with us to go over the resort's map. He presented all of the restaurants and different activities on the resort. Note that you will also be granted access to the Breathless Hotel beside, but requires planning visit through the Concierge. After a 10 minutes presentation, we were off to our room with the valet. Room: Junior Suite Swim-up King Bed, Waves building, #2141 facing the pool, *communicating room* Concierge: ALVARO HERNANDEZ: Alvaro is very focused on customer satisfaction and was also very proactive in his communications with us throughout our stay. He is very professional and makes sure that your stay goes smoothly. Alvaro speaks also an excellent French. Upon arrival, we found the room to be perfect and very clean. Note that there's no liquor bottle offerings in the non-preferred rooms. Nespresso coffee machine in every room, is a very nice touch, and you'll find a regular mini-bar, with Presidente and Coors Light beers. Take note that 24 hours in-room dining is included in your package. Although we did not took advantage of it. In the room there is no clothing iron but instead they provide a hand clothing steamer. Cleaning: The service was perfect, LISSETT was great :) Pools and swim-out: 2 pools and 1 for the Preferred Club clientele. Preferred pool area is really busy and space is limited. The Beachfront pool basically splits into 2 pools. The closest part to the Sugar Reef Pool Bar is where the water activities take place. We found the other half less crowded and calm. SWIM-OUT: If you want to enjoy your swim-out, you must stay in the REEF building, pool side. The swim-out aren't heated, which made it almost impossible to take advantage of it for us. The water was very cold while we were there. The WAVES building gets sun from 1:30 pm only. You don't have to wake-up at 5 am to prepare your chairs in order to reserve a spot at the pool. There seemed to always have a spot left with an umbrella close by. Everyday there is pool activities such as pool biking or pool aerobics. These do not disturb the rest of the clients that just want to sit back and relax. All activities we found to be very low-key, which we also enjoyed very much. At the pool around lunchtime there is always a special food & beverage set-up between the Preferred pool and the Beachfront Pool. Every day brings a different thematic. GYM: We visited the gym, it is a nice gym. with a lot of equipment, 3 bikes, 5-6 treadmills and other equipment. There's always, water, granola bars, bananas... Very clean! Restaurants: On our arrival, we were told that we did need a reservation for the Teppanyaki Table at Meraki. You must reserve 1-day in advance with your Concierge. 12 person sitting only. But there are multiple sittings per evening. Restaurants ranking (Our top 4): #1 TIERRA - best food and most beautiful restaurant on the resort. Have the skirt steak with the octopus entree or Ecuadorian ceviche. It's very nice. EDIMIR was our waiter both times we visited and he took great care of us. #2 MERAKI: both à la carte and the Teppanyaki Table. We went 3 times to this restaurant. We had all sushis (best Spicy Tuna) most of the starters (best chicken satay, spring rolls) and a few main course (best Teriyaki chicken). Top waiter is FRANCISCO (speaks French). Thanks also to young Anderson who was teaming up with him. TEPPANYAKI TABLE show was great. The cook RAMON and the waiter were both very entertaining and efficient. A must-do! #3 PORTOFINO: We tried all 4 entrées, top choice is Burrata & Carpaccio, Arancini is also a good choice. Kudos to the team at this restaurant, LUIS CARLOS sommelier, is always smiling and offered us excellent service. Thanks again to you LUIS ! #4 EL-PATIO: Beautiful restaurant, this is where you'll find the BEST MARGARITAS. Have the fajitas, it's a must! A special thank you to ANDERSON, which we met on the first evening of our 10-day stay. We adopted him instantly! Thank you for your excellent service, you made our visits to the Buffet and EL-Patio even more enjoyable. *This restaurant is open for breakfast for Preferred clients only with Buffet food offerings*. THE MARKET CAFÉ (BUFFET): Perfect, and has anything you need. Very clean. Again thank you to our different waiters; FELIX, FANFAN and ANDERSON. COCO CAFÉ: The best coffee on the resort, and very busy! You'll also find ice cream, specialty coffees and more snacks. The service was great. MAIN LOBBY BAR: Thanks to ALBERTO, greatest bartender, who will remember you and your preferred drink! They make Caesars at this resort which is really nice. There's a cart that offers special drinks from 7pm to 9pm, with FELIX LUIS. Say hi to MARIA (MARIA.. yes in reference to Santana!!) which served us throughout the week. SHOWS: This is definitely surprising: We found every show to be excellent. Which is rare for a resort. From Queen, to Beyoncé... wow! There's also the violinist at the Lobbye Bar, very impressive. This resort is very beautiful and very clean. The greenery is well grown, diverse and offers intimacy in the swim-out areas, but also from the surroundings. This is a larger Secrets but also is very compact. The beach is very clean, as they ensure that no sargassum algea remains on the beach. There seems to have plenty of palapas for all. Overall experience is a very good one.
