Quick getaway
My husband and I had a quick much needed getaway. Had a great time at the resort. I want to give a big shoutout to Juandali the Chef Concierge, she was amazing. Had great conversations with her and she went out of her way to make sure everything was to our liking.

Excellent place to vacation!!!
Wilkin was extremely friendly and helpful! Always made sure you had a drink and always pulled chair out for my wife and pushed her back in like a true gentleman! Would definitely love to come back to see him working!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got better day by day
A few things were hit and miss ( housekeeping and hospitality of some staff members ) but overall it was an enjoyable stay , as long as you go in with eyes wide open you will not be disappointed . It seemed the longer we stayed , the more we appreciated and overlooked the inconsistencies .

Not worth the money
We travelled to this resort end of December2024/early January 2025. We were two families with parents in their sixties and adult children in their twenties. Two members of our group purchased the preferred upgrade upon arrival. Overall we would not return, especially not as a group, but I encourage you to read this review as you may not care about some of our issues. Here's what we did like: 1- The beach. The best in Punta Cana. They keep it immaculate, unlike some of the neighbouring hotels. There is a constant breeze and the sand is a perfect powdery white. 2- The grounds were lovely. Lots of vegetation and modern decor. The rooms were also nice although it would have been nice to have a full-length mirror and a somewhat wider bathroom vanity. Here's what we didn't like: 1- No identifying bracelets so you never really know if non-hotel guests are using the facilities. Once in a while a beach attendant will ask for your room number but we were never asked to show room key or other proof. I believe this could pose a safety issue. This is also a problem for people who pay for preferred upgrade as there is no way to distinguish them from non-preferred guests. We saw many non-preferred guests using the facilities and restaurant privileges that were supposed to be only for preferred guests. Not cool if you paid a hefty sum for the upgrade. 2- Dinner reservations. It's almost impossible to get into restaurants unless you’re willing to wait. We were told that they do not take dinner reservations but we saw people showing reservations. So, we tried to reserve through our preferred concierge who informed us that restaurants were fully booked. Kinda strange for a place that "doesn’t take reservations. " For our group, they would only let us reserve for 6 PM or 9PM, and only with a fixed menu of their choice. When our two preferred members finally made it into a restaurant after a long wait, they noticed it was only half full. Throughout our stay, we noticed that sit-down restaurants were never full. Clearly they are trying to get guests to use buffet. This would be acceptable at a 3-star resort, maybe even 4, but not one where you pay a hefty price, especially for preferred status. The food at the buffet is reasonably good. Not great. 3- Night Life, The shows in the evening were disappointing and the disco was practically empty, this during peak season. The greatest disappointment was New Year’s Eve. We were told we needed reservations, even for the buffet, but that everything was fully booked so we had to go at 10 pm and stand in line. We have been to at least twenty all-inclusives and we have never witnessed this kind of treatment for New Year’s Eve. Most resorts will also provide party hats, streamers etc for a festive atmosphere. These were sorely lacking and the entertainment (one guy with a guitar) was painful to listen to. 4- Other: watered down drinks, even the premium ones; allergy listings on menus not accurate; lack of activities; too many beach vendors; too much upselling by hotel staff (vacation club, spa, etc);

Excellent
Everything about the trip exceeded expectations. The staff was so pleasant at the resort and went out of their way at every opportunity to provide above and beyond service in all areas. The dining experience and pool side service was exceptional.
