Jan 25, 2026Relaxing beautiful romantic vacation
We absolutely loved our stay in a preferred tropical view king bed suite. The resort is beautiful. I love the number of pools, gorgeous beach, and the amount of chairs and shade. We never had an issue finding a seat. If there was a specific spot we wanted to sit we set the alarm for 7:00 am. The food was great and we enjoyed every restaurant. The service at the pools, beach, and restaurants were fantastic! I can’t wait to return in July with a friend. Margarita at the manatee bar preferred pool was incredible! Reyes at the fabulous breakfast buffet and at the El Patio restaurant (hard worker) made sure we laughed, I loved the bird calls, and were taken care of. Plus of course our butler Aron made sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond to ensure we had the best relaxing vacation.

Super Service!
Our 8th visit to Punta Cana, and first to Secrets Royal Beach. We found it to be very enjoiable, service wqas great, as was food selection and room amenities. Extra props to our great Butler Dayanara, and servers Andio, Cristian, and Francisco, who all made our stay extra pleasant!

Jan 25, 2026Didn't live upto 5 Star service for a Hyatt resort!
This resort looks lovely and the grounds are well looked after, however the service most of the time wasnt great. Asked for more coffee pods right at the start of our stay and this wasn't delivered. Ordered coffee one morning and after an hour called again and they were baffled why it hadn't been delivered to our room. Shower cubicle wasnt cleaned, there was an area of stagnant water which wasnt cleaned and the shower and toilet glass doors were not cleaned. Only once out of the 7 nights a turn down service was offered. Mini bar wasnt stocked daily. The floors were only swept, no mopping, so some areas were slippery and remained slippery. On our last full day the room wasn't cleaned and no clean coffee mugs. Ppl were going out early to 'reserve' the sunbeds with towels, which I think is wrong and shouldn't be allowed. We asked for a parasol which wasnt being used to be moved to where our sunbeds were and none of the staff did this, saying they can't! Got bitten by mosquitos in the room and bed, asked for the room to be fumigated which they said they did but they couldn't have as you could tell it wasnt done. Phone stopped working so told them and they assured us thus would be looked into the next day and it wasn't. There's a fair amount of choice of restaurants but would advise to pre book, especially the blue water grill and defo the Japanese restaurant. Victor the food and beverage manager was amazing! Nothing was ever too much abd he went above and beyond. Some of the staff waiters were great, Porfino, Jamie foxx, Defry and Alba were brilliant. Victor from Amstar was great at organising excursions for us. Overall for a 5 star resort Secrets looked the part but failed with some of the services which for a 5 star resort and considering the cost I believe should have been more on par. More attention is invested in preferred club which is understandable but for a Hyatt label the issues I mentioned should have been addressed instead an apology was provided my front desk with mo solutions offered. Would I stay here again? maybe not as activity wise didn't offer much in terms of sports. Did enquire about the mini golf but no one could tell me about it.

Awesome place! Two annoying things
Everything was great about this hotel, the food the staff. There were two things that really pissed me off: At check-in, they try to sell you a timeshare, they say it’s not, show up for breakfast at 10 AM the following day and bring your drivers license and credit cards. I showed up without my credit card and the guy was very upset. Number two, the guys on the beach trying to sell you everything calling you, my friend then buddy etc. just tell them, “I’m not buying anything“ it worked for me

Stayed in 2023 and it was a lovely stay and we wanted to return but now -Awful hotel!!! Paid for Preferred again but Butler did nothing.Couldn’t eat at a decent time -children eat at 6.30pm not couples on a romantic break.Also very noisy!!Would not recommend.
