  Secrets Moxche Resort

  I had a great time. Rooms were amazing and very clean. Didn't feel crowded between all the different pools and had a fun time will the entertainment team. A special shout out to Daniella, Gabriella, Jessica, Monica, Sergio, Julio, Felix, Christian, isle, Aranza, jazmin, Miguel, axel, Jose, and Giovanni. They were apart of the team and we got to meet them through beach volleyball, bingo, casino night, and aquaarobics. They would walk around 15 min before an activity and kindly invite you to join. It made it very easy to find something to do, but they were still very respectful if all you wanted to do was lay and relax. A great resort to unwind and have fun.

  Awesome place

  We just got back from tides a few weeks ago. Here are my thoughts about the place. Resort - it is absolutely beautiful. It’s one of the nice places I have stayed at. Check in - while check-in was pretty easy, they didn’t get us in until after 4 o’clock. I thought that was a huge deal but the other secrets we were able to check in on time. The preferred check-in was nice, but there was no one in line so we could’ve done regular as well. Room - we stayed in a ocean view preferred room. We ended up changing rooms because if you have an odd number room, he faced the other resort and the view was not great. After the first night, I requested a change and they were great doing that. There are two sinks, which is nice. The shower was great and it had a separate bathroom. Ocean view was fine for us. Pools - there are so many of them. We actually did a pool hop one day because we wanted to see all of them. Most of my time I stayed at the main pool, which was the activity pool. They had volleyball at 12 every day. The staff there was great. The drinks were great. Went above and beyond to make sure everyone was engaged. Plus they have music at 11 and 2 every day. The lagoon pool was great as well. Just very quiet which I get bored. Food - the food was good. The only issue that we had when we were there was the reservation system. It took us almost 2 hours to get into the Japanese restaurant. We weren’t even doing hibachi. They had a taco stand that was pretty awesome. Also make sure you go to the beach party for the fire show. That was a highlight of the trip. The steakhouse was outstanding. French was OK. Believe it or not the Italian was one of our favorites. They made a really good pizza. Entertainment- entertainment was good. They had a nightclub that was fun. We only went once because there were some corporate groups that took it up all week. That was our only complaint. The shows were OK. There were two that were good. The music that they played at the resort was absolutely great. They had opera singers to acoustic guitarists. People. - we met some wonderful people. There are some great groups from Chicago, North Carolina, Canada, in Texas. Just a really fun crowd. Preferred - is it worth it? Depends on the cost. We were able to get it for a pretty inexpensive upgrade. But we spent most of our time at the non-preferred areas. We did have breakfast at the preferred rooftop pool. That was pretty awesome. We also spent an afternoon up there which was great. There’s no difference in alcohol though. For example, secrets tides you got what you got for regular alcohol here, but you had to be preferred. Drinks - drinks were good. You have to be careful and what kind of alcohol leaves because I know I ordered a certain kind of vodka, but never got that until I walked up to the bar. They were just use whatever their well was. Not a big deal. Special shout outs. Daniela at the front preferred area Luis preferred coupons. Alonso. Estafania preferred lounge in the morning Amairani...waitress at activity pool Agustine bartender at activity pool. He is the best we have ever had in Mexico. Such a good guy!! Eduardo..breakfast waiter at the beach restaurant. Jaime and Jacob pool concierge at activity pool. Sergio entertainment staff Aranza entertainment staff Cristian entertainment staff Daniela and Oscar entertainment staff If I had to say one thing that sort of annoyed, both of us was the chair game. There were people that would get up very early and put their Stuff on chairs and then not come back for multiple hours. They did a decent job on certain days moving them if they weren’t there but overall, it was a pain. Also, the elevators were extremely slow lol but that’s not a big deal. Posted on TA as well.

  Dirty

  Only been here one night room dirty and needs a deep clean. I will be telling my insurance company as it’s not of the standard expected of a 5* hotel I called the reception to ask to upgrade they thought I wanted it for free I did not! As for Tui I can’t get in touch with them will try this evening. Apparently we have to make our own arrangements with Tui for our transfers when we leave 🤷‍♀️ as there is no Tui rep here.

  Perfect

  Been back a week and already miss this resort. Have been to multiple Secrets and this was by far the best. Many great people but wanted to give some special shout outs to people. Daniela at the front preferred area Luis preferred coupons. Alonso.   The Best Vacation!

  My wife and I enjoyed celebrating our 20th anniversary at Secrets Moxche. It was the best vacation experience we have had in our 20 years of marriage. We were delighted with the food, spa, fitness center, and the incredible grounds. We had fun when we wanted it and privacy when we needed it. The room was exceptional, and the staff even more so!
