    A stunning hotel spa and truelly 5 star experience

    My wife Irene and I stayed here for the first time in January this year. Irene had picked it by random as we wanted to visit Forteventura, one of the Canary Islands we had not previously experienced. We had a junior sea view frontal suite with excellent views over to Lanzarote. The room was spacious s and beautifully arranged with an outdoor balcony. Alicia from house keeping kept it spotless for us and she us a marvel.. All the staff, throughout the complex, and in the seven restaurants were all so helpful and friendly, clearly taking great pride in hosting us at the truelly five star destination. The hotle complex, with three outdoor and one indoor pool, spa, sauna, Solarium and Turkish bath, was hard to leave. It is in itself a destination and one we enjoyed immeasurably. We certainly hope to return. Thank you.

    Beautiful hotel and spa

    A really beautiful hotel, friendly and attentive staff, great location (walking distance along the beach to Corralejo centre), a fantastic spa… you couldn’t ask for more!

    Meh

    Caught DNV - despite having only left the hotel for walks. This happens I suppose but disappointing nevertheless. The garden room which we paid extra for had no garden view - simply a wall. Room cleaners reliably woke me up between 7:30 and 7:45. Be aware the hotel is next to a sort of cesspit on one end and Ridley Scott dystopia film set covered in graffiti is behind it - my advice just keep facing the sea. Would have complained but we were grieving and I didn't have the emotional energy to engage with it all - just expected better.

    Did the job but manage your expectations

    I would describe this hotel as decent enough, but whoever gave it 5* should give their head a wobble. Service is far from 5*, no one collected luggage on arrival (albeit did take to room from lobby), no welcome drink, check in chaotic, not enough breakfast staff, lobby bar staff slow then when you go to bar they tell you they’ll come to your table…then never come - found service a frustration throughout our stay Housekeeping - had to call 3 times on first day to get them to change our two single beds to a king, then mid holiday they remade it into two singles? The mind boggles and very disappointing to spend a week on 2 beds pushed together. You can use the iron for one hour of your whole trip then it’s chargeable! Ridiculous rule for a “5*” Food - we ate at all the restaurants. Breakfast food is fantastic, rest were average food and lacked any kind of atmosphere. Some better restaurants in Corralejo. Spa and pools - this free access to saunas and steam makes up for a lot of the other issues. Sunbeds also very comfortable by the pool however outdoor pools unusable as very cold. Overall - it’s never a 5* and if you go expecting this, you’ll be disappointed. However, if you go needing a rest and don’t expect much from the staff, you’ll be ok.

    Recognition of great service

    Marvellous hotel and great experience. Everything about it is superb. However I am using this review to recognise the exceptional service provided by ALVARO on the reception desk. I called today to report that we had left items of great sentimental value in our room when we left. This was entirely our error. Alvaro was able to track down and find the items. He returned our call promptly and advised us of the process to enable their return. He also followed up later to ensure we had been able to access the website satisfactorily. Many thanks to him and the rest of an excellent team. We enjoyed our stay immensely and plan to return annually.
