Amazing Resort
Secrets employees are top notch. They truly make you feel like a VIP in every way. Food and drinks were amazing. Do not hesitate to make this your go to in Aruba. No need to ever leave the resort.

Amazing Resort
This is an incredible resort. It is very clean, modern, and beautiful. It is far away from the city but there really isn’t any reason to leave the resort unless you want to. The food was amazing. Portofino and Tierra were our favorites. The lunch buffet has a ton of amazing options. The staff are wonderful. Especially Cristian, Alejo, Chanel, and Gladys at the Rendezvous bar. The passion that Cristian and Alejo used to create drinks was top notch’ Emilio at Portofino is a great waiter. Desiree at the breakfast buffet provided wonderful service and always with a smile. Only critiques of the resort is that the bars were missing ambiance and there were too few restaurants.

Some things to know before you book.
I want to write an honest review so that potential guests can make informed decisions. The location. although remote, is stunningly beautiful. The resort is very lovely as well. Some of our disappointment may be due to the resort being new, but others are things I wish I'd known before I booked, and I would have planned differently. First note - this is NOT a foodie centric destination excepting perhaps the breakfast and lunch buffets which exceeded our expectations. Our best meal was at Terra, and we found ourselves wanting to be off resort for other dinners. For the price, and the overall "look" of the resort, we expected a bit more intriguing dinner and drink options. We ended up taking the shuttle and had fabulous meals at Old Man and the Sea, and a few places in Palm Beach. Another important note - there is not a bourbon in site unless you pay for the preferred reservation. Had I known this, I would have happily spent the extra money to enjoy a higher quality of wine and spirits. The service is sub par overall, it may be possible due to the resort being young. This does not mean people are unfriendly. It simply means that for the dollar spent, I am looking for more attention to detail and follow up. We would order drinks at the pool and never see them. There are very limited wine options - three standard reds, two standard whites, and maybe a rose. Several times we did not get what we ordered. The loud party- drink until you look ridiculous- vibe at the main pool was a drag, there is no avoiding it if you have a pool view room, or if you are not in the quieter preferred section of the pools/bars. The rooms were lovely, the water pressure is great, and we finally found our "vibe" in the lobby bar. The beach is very nice, although not right at the resort. But it literally is a 3 min walk and there are carts to take you if you do not wish to walk. My number one turnoff was the vacation sales pitch the minute we set foot on the resort after a long day of travel. I have no issue with the people doing their jobs - but honestly - after having been up since 4:30am and coming to start my vacation, the last thing I want to do is be sucked into a membership or vacation club presentation or have to talk business and finance on vacation. To boot, the vacation club price is $31k -so if you're not inclined to spend that, don't bother with the 2 hour time suck the first morning of your vacation. The location was not an issue even though it was more remote than the area of Palm Beach. It's a wonderful place to enjoy some star gazing, a beautiful crescent beach with snorkeling and overall kind staff. If I were booking for the first time and food, drink and serenity were important to me, do the preferred club. While we won't be back to this resort, I think it will be a premier destination someday.

Awful!
If I could give this place 0 stars, I would!! Soo many complaints about this resort. DO NOT BOOK. 1. During our stay, we encountered several issues that significantly impacted our experience: We were not aware at the time of booking that a section of the resort is available only to Preferred Club guests. Accordingly, upon arrival, we chose to pay $1,000 for each room and upgrade to ensure a more relaxing, premium experience. As there were no butlers available during our stay, we only used the pool and premium liquor services. However, we discovered that the Preferred pool area was not truly exclusive. Anyone could access it, and the bar frequently ran out of premium liquors. Further, premium liquor options were not available throughout the resort, which seemed odd considering the amount paid. (When going out for dinner, we were not able to get premium liquor & had awful watered-down drinks with our meal) 2. The food quality was disappointing, and the liquor options did not taste like premium brands — in fact, many drinks seemed watered down. 3. Service throughout the resort was consistently slow; we did not find the staff helpful or willing to go above and beyond. 4. Several areas of the property had a noticeable smell of weed, which detracted from the resort’s overall atmosphere. 5. Our shower had visible mold and a persistent mildew smell in the bathroom. 6. For what is supposed to be an adults-only romantic resort, it is quite loud. From our room, we could hear loud club-style music from the main pool and, at night, music from the plaza area. We requested a room change, but none were available. 7. There were empty cups left throughout the resort. The view in the morning of the pool from our balcony was of empty glasses. 8. They have a pigeon problem; we could not eat outside due to being surrounded by pigeons that would attack our plates with food. They would also walk all over the cutlery and plates of unoccupied tables! Overall, it seemed like Secrets was unprepared to be open and host guests, especially at the rate being charged (which is on par with other resorts that have been operating for far longer). After complaining to management, they offered us $500 to use at another Hyatt. But I couldn’t think of anything worse than having to stay at another Hyatt if this is their ‘5star’ standards!!!

Wonderful resort with very friendly staff
Just returned from a 3 day stay at Secrets Baby Beach after we’re on a cruise from Panama to Aruba on Windstar. It was wonderful to wrap up our vacation in a relaxing resort. Buffet food for breakfast and lunch was outstanding. Hotels services were top notch and extremely friendly. I hope Hyatt keeps this investment to the current quality standards.
