  best hotel in the world!

  I’ve travelled to over 30 countries and this is hands down the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Everything was amazing, the attention to detail, the food was outstanding with so much variety and high quality, the pools and facilities were amazing. what really made the experience stand out was the service, every single member of the staff was willing and eager to assist with a smile. Special shout outs to activities coordinator alan, oscar, melina and “the new girl” and mario at the pool bar. can’t wait to come back

  A truly wonderful hotel

  A truly amazing hotel. Food is first class with all à la carte restaurant being available as many times as you want to eat in them. Drinks including cocktails are premium and the list is long. Staff are so friendly and accommodating. Grounds are lush and well kept. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

  Amazing!!!!! Can’t Wait to Return

  AMAZING!!!! It was the perfect trip from the time we arrived until the time we left the space. This is our second time here and it won’t be our last, due to the location directly on the beach! The atmosphere of the grounds is enchanting. You feel like you are in the rainforest with the lush greens that hug you as you walk the property. The wildlife is all around you without ever being an issue. In addition to the perfect location and welcoming facilities, each space is VERY clean and well maintained by the friendly and hardworking staff. Speaking of the staff, EVERYONE was amazing and accommodating. There wasn’t a time where we felt needy. The staff does a great job balancing great service without being interruptive. I’ not sure how they do it, but they were on point at all times. We want to give special shout outs to the following staff members who made our trip memorable: - Rodrigo: So friendly and loving! Infectious energy - Giovanni: Morning Breakfast - great service and always happy to ensure we started our day off right. - Victor: Waiter in Himitsu - EXCELLENT service. Knowledgeable and patient. -Salvador: Beach Service - Salvador is the man! He knew what we liked and stayed attentive to EVERYONE at the beach. He’s a mindreader, and that’s what we needed to stayed relaxed. - Roselyn: Beach Grounds Crew - He was working hard to ensure that the seaweed wasn’t a problem, and he was so nice. Good man. - Alejandro: Beach Service - Another GREAT server at the beach. The food was good and plentiful. The poolside cookout on Saturday was stellar, and the Himitsu restaurant was really good, so good we went three times (fellas you need to wear long pants for entry). Rooms were spacious, the concierge was helpful, and the value is there! If you want a quality all-inclusive without breaking the bank, Secrets Akumal is your place!!! PS - Go snorkeling to see the turtles! It’s worth it. We used Dylan and Victor and they were great. We were able to see 5 titles and dozens of fish! It’s totally worth it! Don’t skip out on it

  Amazing resort

  This beautiful resort is AMAZING! This was our first all- inclusive experience and about it was spectacular from the food/ drinks, pools/ beachside, and the customer service…. It far exceeded our expectations! It’s such a romantic setting and had so many places to hang out and enjoy the surroundings. Our concierge Maximilliano was top notch and so accommodating! We had a small issue that we addressed and he went above and beyond to correct it! He did way more than we ever expected and we were so appreciative! He really cared about us having a great stay there and we’re so thankful for all that he did for us! My husband had the best time here! Loved it so much that we already booked to go back again next year! If you’re looking for a place to wind down, reset, and re-connect….. this is the place to go!
