Marriott did not disappoint!
This is now our favorite place to vacation and already booked our next trip! The hotel is beautiful and spotless, room looked newly renovated and we had an ocean view on the 20th floor. So relaxing and we took advantage of the pool and hot tub every day. Beach is choppy and not very swimmable, but we had a blast in the waves. Can’t wait to be back!

Solid choice in San Juan- Great views, convenient to restaurants, comfortable
We traveled here with our children, their partners, and our granddaughter in October. We reserved four oceanfront rooms in the Cabana section. Everything was smooth start to finish. They were able to get us a crib for our granddaughter. Staff were pleasant. The rooms were comfortable and had a good view. The space itself is nice. The pools were good. We loved having coffee in the mornings on the main floor back by the big windows watching the waves crashing. The beach itself has rough surf, but makes for good photos. While we were there, the hotel was not allowing guests to enter the beach from the pool area due to the unsafe waves, but you can easily walk around the hotel to the beach. They do allow you to reenter at the pool area from the beach. There are many restaurants within easy walking distance. We did eat one meal at Cosecha, which was comfortable but disappointing. They were out of several items/ingredients and the food wasn't as good as we are used to. Other resorts within walking distance have great options.

Service is slow than slow boat in China
Emailed their accountant and general manager, Mariano Formariz, regarding charges their front desk can’t resolve, two days passed, no response.

Best place to stay in San Juan!
Amazing hotel. Prime location, so much to offer, and very well maintained. We had an ocean view which also means we overlooked the pool and it was so nice to have such gorgeous views. Waking up to palm trees and waves crashing it always amazing. The hotel has an outdoor smoothie/juice bar at the pool, a restaurant with an ocean view, ample seating in and around the lobby. We ate several times at the lobby bar which is a hot spot and central location - we had food and drinks at the bar - excellent food and bartenders. You can get sushi right in the lobby and even served at the bar. Cannot say enough great things - our room was clean, the pool area and ocean area are clean, and just a really well run hotel. We did check out the casino and although small we had a great time.

Marriott Stellaris unthankful for Business on thanksgiving day
I traveled from Atlanta to San Juan to celebrate Thanksgiving with my family, who are staying at the Marriott Stellaris. I’m retired military and currently lodged at Fort Buchanan, and our family of 15 had planned to dine together at the resort’s Thanksgiving dinner—at $89 per person—so I stopped by the property ahead of time to connect with them and get familiar with the layout. Unfortunately, my experience at the entrance was far from welcoming. Despite explaining that I was meeting my family—verified guests of the resort—the security staff refused to allow me onto the premises solely because I was not wearing a guest wristband. I fully understand the need for security and crowd control, especially during a busy holiday week, but the lack of flexibility and courtesy was disappointing. There was no willingness to check the guest list, contact my family, or consider my circumstances as a visiting family member staying at a military installation. Given that my family is planning to spend well over a thousand dollars at the resort’s restaurant for Thanksgiving dinner alone, I expected a more hospitable and solution-oriented approach. Instead, I was left standing outside the property, unable to even meet up with my family or get basic information. I hope management takes this feedback seriously. Security policies are important, but so is guest experience—and treating visiting family members with a bit of understanding would go a long way. Our family is looking forward to Thanksgiving dinner, but this encounter certainly dampened the excitement. ⸻
- AdvisoryThe following mandatory hotel-imposed fees are charged and collected by the hotel either at check-in or check-out. Resort fee: $65 (Plus Taxes) per room, per night Mandatory hotel-imposed fees may not include tax and are subject to change, this is an estimate of what you will be charged. The hotel can provide current fees and inclusions when you check-in.
- AdvisoryThe hotel has completed the lobby and front desk remodel. Lobby looks fantastic, much more space and a more personalized front desk.
- AdvisoryThe renovation at the resort has now been completed, which unveils a stunning new chapter for this iconic destination. With refreshed rooms, reimagined spaces, and an infusion of modern elegance, every detail has been thoughtfully designed to elevate the guest experience. Whether you’re savoring sunset views by the pool or unwinding in the sleek, stylish interiors, the Resort is ready to welcome you to a renewed paradise where comfort and beauty meet the spirit of Puerto Rico.
