A Thanksgiving of Gratitude: Exceptional Care at Saltera
It feels only fitting to write this review on Thanksgiving, as we are incredibly thankful for the amazing week we spent at Saltera. Unfortunately, our daughter was not feeling well for most of the trip, but the resort staff went above and beyond to keep her cheerful and comfortable. They helped us organize a visit to the island doctor for antibiotics, and the team treated us like family. There was a treat waiting for us every evening that made the kids feel at home despite the circumstances. I have to give a special mention to the people who made this trip so memorable: • Lawrence, our amazing butler: He was kind, thoughtful, and always available with a big smile. From getting a humidifier for our daughter to bringing balloons, making fun towel animals, and rescuing us from a buggy ride, he was a superstar. • The F&B Team: Asanka, Lovely, Sohini, Arup, Lijim, and Nagesh were super hospitable. • Karel (Dir of F&B): So lovely and constantly ensured our daughter was feeling okay. The team arranged custom soup for her, brought her a blanket at dinner, and even delivered food to our room. • Joe at Adventures: So knowledgeable and fun! • The Kids Club Staff: Adorable and incredibly patient. And most important • Diane (Resort Manager): She runs a tight ship and manages a well-oiled machine, navigating supply challenges with grace. She went out of her way for us, and the kids are so happy with the presents she gave them—we will always have a part of Saltera with us back home. The Resort & Food: Very comfortable room with everything you need, super comfy beds and gorgeous views. The location is beautiful if you are looking for a peaceful vacation away from reality. The water is stunning, clean and calm .. snorkeling right off the beach was perfect, accessible, and the water was calm and clean. Loved all the walks along the beach as well. We took a trip to Sail Rock Resort's restaurant, Cove for lunch one afternoon—gorgeous beach and amazing food. The golf cart ride there was an adventure, and seeing the beautiful flamingos on the way back was a highlight. Regarding the on-site dining, the food and drinks are pricey but very delicious. Cobo and Sisal were our go-to places, kids enjoyed the regular menu as well. However, I do wish there were more options as restaurants are on a rotation. On three occasions, the kitchen ran out of the main, fastest-selling items by 7 PM. A bit more mise en place for the popular items would be a great improvement. We missed out on evening activities due to our sick little one, but we felt the evenings could use a little more life, perhaps a DJ or some music. As Bonvoy loyalists, we will definitely be back. We wish this resort the best and hope guests from all over get to experience this beautiful place.

Amazing service.
Came here with my husband and our two teens. We take a family holiday to the Caribbean every winter 2-3 times as we live on the East Coast. Salterra was by far the best service I have experienced in the caribbean ever - at the pool, restaurants and front desk. The team here is incredibly experienced and professional and all seem to come from a hotel school. South Caicos is a quiet and very safe island. It was a real treat and it was very relaxing. We felt really cared for.

Best Caribbean Destination
As a traveler to the Caribbean 30 plus times, I’m compelled to share our experience at Salterra in South Caicos. Salterra is easily the best experience yet. For starters, the South Caicos airport is new and the systems in place are effective and efficient. The same can not be said for any other airport I’ve visited. American Airline flies direct to South Caicos from Miami and upon landing you realize your flight is the only flight. You quickly move through customs and retrieve your luggage. From there you are shuttled in nice vehicles (suburban) 5-6 mins to the resort. That’s it. Airport to resort is that close. Upon arriving an abundance of staff greet you and handle your bags and you immediately sense this place is special. Check-in was quick and efficient. Our room was brand new, and had fantastic view of the property and the ocean beyond. The Pools are quite large and perfectly maintained. There was a large group there at same time and never did it seem like there was a shortage of pool chairs or cabanas. The Beach was clean and the snorkeling was awesome. The Food options are limited but changed daily. Brine was are Saturday meal and it was unforgettable. The restaurant staff is excellent. The kayaking is definitely recommended. Of all the excellent features of this place, the Spa is our favorite. Wow. Get the salt scrub! Travel-easy Resort-beautiful Staff-incredible.

Stunning resort
Salterra has been open for less than a year. However their are no growing pains, the luxury and professionalism is 5 star. It’s not huge but has several choices of restaurants, an amazing spa, tennis and pickleball courts, several pools, exercise rooms and the beach and water is lovely. We ate at several of the restaurants, all with different specialties and all outstanding. We will be back.

A Great Vacation at Salterra in the South Caicos!
Salterra in South Caicos made for an amazing vacation with my wife and our close friends. It was a perfect blend of adventure, cuisine, and relaxation. Every design element of this new resort has been thoughtfully selected for the environment from beautiful coral limestone patios to landscaped pools cascading down to the beach. The service was fantastic and the staff members were from all over the world which made for interesting stories from everyone. We stayed in a spacious 2 bedroom suite that was nicely decorated with the Salterra theme and included all the thoughtful amenities from branded water bottles to wood combs! The location is perfect for adventure situated alongside a national park befitting an eco-tourism ethic. We enjoyed hiking the remote beach and across the salt flats to witness the flocks of wild flamingos. We also loved our kayaking trip through the sheltered waterways hovering above sting rays in the clear blue water. The best diving in the Turks and Caicos is just off the resort. The dive boat conveniently picked us up right on the beach and within a short ride, we were scuba diving with spotted eagle rays, turtles and nurse sharks. The adventure guides were caring and passionate about all the trips in the region from remote island iguana parks to world class bonefishing Even the snorkel from the beach to the "aquarium" was awesome as we were greeted with schools of curious fish. The food at the resort was exceptional - a rare treat at a Carribean resort. There was a nice variety of restaurants including a fine dining tasting menu at Brine; fresh dishes such as peruvian ceviche and fresh conch salad at the oceanfront Cobo pavillion; and casual bites such as flatbreads at Sisal. We stayed for 5 days and I still didn't try all the dishes that I wanted to! Oh, and the cocktails were awesome - made with fresh limes, branches of mint, and other fresh tropical ingredients. The spa was unbelievable! We spent an entire afternoon in the spa getting the couples treatment with specialists from Bali giving us full body salt scrubs, feet treatments, deep tissue massages and facials. Afterwards, we hung out in the soothing pool courtyard almost unable to get out of our state of zen :) Overall, during our stay, we kept thinking about all the friends and family we wanted to bring to Salterra to introduce them to the experiences we enjoyed. We are definitely coming back for a full week from Saturday to Saturday - taking the American Airlines direct flight from Miami and skipping the crowds to submerge ourselves into the beauty of the Turks as quickly as possible! Thanks to everyone at Salterra from making this a memorable stay!!
