    Honeymoon Trip

    We had our honeymoon here and it was truly a relaxing experience. We were many options when it came to excursions. We went through Amstar for our excursions, and Misael was extremely helpful and kind. We were apart of the Diamond Club at the Hideway, and had an amazing Butler Laura. We were able to text her at any point for help and to book us reservations. The bartenders at the Hideaway pool were very attentive and kind. Our favorite places we ate at were Jade, Grazie, Bella Cucina, and Mexican Cantina. The buffet, Gourmet Marche, was very good and had many options for breakfast, lunch, an dinner. Overall, we were able to have a balance of relaxation and fun while here!

    Beautiful Resort / Mediocre Food

    Hello, I went with a group of 4 couples (including myself) to the Royalton Punta Cana. We stayed in the Hideaway section of the resort with Diamond Club access. Overall I would say that this resort is very nice. It was super clean throughout and overall just a very beautiful place to vacation. All of the staff were very friendly and most spoke pretty solid English (we were all from US). Our butler, Ernesto, was very attentive and made sure daily that we had everything we needed and handled making all of our dinner reservations. At this resort it can be hard to get into restaurants that you want to eat at so it is very important to make the reservations early the day before. I did hear several people in passing say that they were not able to get the restaurants that they wanted because the reservations were full. If you go with diamond club, your butler should be able to make you a reservation as long as you tell them the day before. Continuing on with the food, it was very mediocre which might honestly be a little too nice of a comment. There was not a meal I ate there that I would want to eat again. I would recommend ordering at least two appetizers, and three entrees per couple because there is bound to be dish that is just not edible or worth eating. If you are a foodie, this is not the resort for you. In general though, all inclusives tend to not have that great of food in my experience unless you go with a much higher end resort. The only reason I am rating this resort 4/5 is due to the food. This resort had an amazing bartending staff. All of the staff were very friendly and made delicious cocktails. I would highly recommend getting the diamond package if you are a drinker so that you can get all the higher end alcohols. The wait staff at the beach and pools can be a little spotty so I would recommend just walking up to whatever bar you are by to get your drinks. The room was very clean and spacious. The cleaning staff comes in daily and straightens up for you, replaces towels, makes bed, and restocks the mini fridge. We had a first floor room but I did want to note there are not elevators (at least in the Hideaway building) so if you are up any floors you will be walking stairs. Albeit, there are only 3 floors to the building. Like I said earlier, this is a beautiful resort and I would recommend coming if you are looking to spend in the $1500-2000/pp range for a 5 night stay. Just be weary that the food will disappoint.

    Enjoyed paradise!

    Everything about the trip was amazing. The staff really take care of the guests. Juan and Rudy at the pool side bar were terrific and went out of their way to accommodate us. Will visit again!!

    Lovely beach

    We had a garden view balcony which was noisy as a service road ran next to us. The general theme of the hotel is to play loud music. The hideaway beach was good as the only noise came from the waves. The best restaurant was the Dorado. The other restaurants were extremely difficult to get a reservation as you had to book at 17.30 and could only book for the next day.The standard of food was not good. The grounds were emaculate with beautiful palms. The hotel was clean.

    Great for solo travelers

    I highly recommend the Royalton Hideaway Punta Cana. I traveled solo to this resort for four days and five nights. I’m a 50 year-old woman who enjoys fancy vacations, cocktails, and meeting people. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Clean, fresh, modern. Might be the cleanest DR resort I’ve visited, actually! I enjoyed the buffet more than the restaurants for breakfast and lunch. But I ate dinner at the restaurants each night. All very good. The check in process was confusing and chaotic as my butler went missing for an hour while I waited. But otherwise, a perfect experience.
