    Just awful

    We are holiday lovers, go on holiday 3/4 days a year and I have never written a review before. But want to protect others. Read the reviews on this hotel and they are definitely true, don’t waste your money. Day one, arrived, room was not as booked, no rooms available until the following day, no rush made to accommodate us, we kept chasing, no one bothered or in a hurry to sort you out, eventually got into room, unpacked and just as we were about to settle, knock at the door, maintenance man to repair air conditioning, he was rather shocked to see we had been given such a room. Within a few hours of him leaving it packed up again, we were then told it was repaired again, but it wasn’t, next day we received a what’s app, saying please pack up your room and meet us in reception so we can escort you to your new room, we refused and asked for fans, didn’t hear anything, when we went back to room it was working, no contact to say sorry we got it wrong etc Each day something else happens, faulty towers springs to mind….. shortage of towels, some people have had to use their beach towels to have a evening shower. Shortage of toilet rolls, we’ve given a roll to two different people. When you arrive plenty of shower gel etc but that’s your lot, not replaced. Six hangers for two people for two weeks Glasses dirty Constantly run out of beer, water and certain drinks, apparently once they have got through ten bottles of spirts, they have to stop serving that brand. Do not pay extra for diamond club, we did, the beach area set for diamond club people is small, rocky, uneven and not cleaned, sun bed are old and uncomfortable, so dirty there is mold on them, six umbrellas in this area for over 200 guest, we don’t use it. Main pool is next to it, with loud music pumping out, the pool area is disgusting, so many drunk people, foul language and unbearable noise. Food, is lukewarm and never looks fresh, I love fruit and in the Caribbean you’d expect the best, most definitely not. Restaurants are soul less and at the end of your meal, they want you to fill in a survey. Butler service is just silly, not the butler’s fault, they are nice people, but you can do everything yourself and it’s rather intrusive . We have had a meeting with management, who offer lip service, sorry you feel like that. We have tried to move hotels and look at the option of going home early, but that is problematic. Management did offer us just over £2000 to leave early we paid over £8000. We will continue for compensation. In the meantime we would not recommend this hotel, staff are lovely but they know how bad it is. Save your money is all we can say, weather is lovely .

    Mixed Experience

    We have returned after a week at the Royalton Chic in January 2026. We stayed in one of the one bedroom over the water bungalows. We are low key travelers, where part of the fun is experiencing the food and the atmosphere. Unfortunately, I cannot fully recommend this resort. I will start with the positives. The room accommodation was quite nice. We enjoyed the privacy, the spaciousness. We had no maintenance issues, and both of the butlers (Christopher and E) where friendly, charming and very good for what little we needed. Bringing us natchos on the beach one lazy day, felt decadent, but was not repeated. Room service, the two times we ordered it, was fast the first time (not prime meal time) but very slow the second (middle of breakfast). Just be aware of the time you order it. We thought the service was very good. Hannah, the DC bartender went out of her way to make my husband's premium brand drink each and every time. Mandy, the DC manger tracked us down at one of the restaurants to fullfill a request that several personel did not get done. It was unexpected, as we understood that it was after the DC bar was closed. The DC beach needs a few more umbrellas, similar to cruise people, they stake their claim to lounge chairs hours before they show up. More available shade might ease the crunch. We enjoyed the covered beds on the beach, as my husband cannot be in the sun for long. There is seaweed on the beach, which the staff tried to keep under control. The other beach outside the resort we visited did not have this issue, so this is not in control of the resort. Twice I noticed restrooms issues. Maybe this is the result of overuse during the days, but it was not fixed by the next day (although I reported it). None of the food was at the level of 5 star. There was stock outs of simple things like butter, limes, and crabcakes. The food was mediocre at all locations, although there was an occasional good dish at the specialty restaurants, it did not carry through for the entire meal. For example, the choice of one steak at the steakhouse, without an upcharge, does not represent a "Steak House". Wine, by the glass or bottle from the wine menu is an up-charge, which was not explained by the waitstaff. Neither the house wine nor from the menu wine suited my pallet, so I tended to bring in a drink from the bar. The best restaurant was the overwater seafood restaurant, but the large sushi appetizer should definately be split (pricey and large, especially if ordered by each person). The staff might have warned us, but did not. Also, the service was extremely slow that night (two cources took over 2 hours). Overall for us, the service is good, the accommodation in the DC bungalow was good, the beach and pool fun, but the food quality brought the experience down.

    Overall my experience was awesome, I had fun from the beginning to the end.

    Syana from the vibe team was absolutely amazing. We loved playing games by the poolside with her and she was always professional. Great with names and faces.

    This young lady, Syana, from the Vibe team was amazing. She is full of energy and a great ambassador for the Royalton Chic. Our trip would not have been the same without her.
