Good but not excellent, book for the pool area
My boyfriend & I stayed for a night the last weekend in September. Weather was beautiful, 21 degrees and sunny for the 2 days we were there. We booked the Marriott mainly because it has a pool and was cheaper than staying the other side of the road in Monaco, although it is still quite pricy per night. Like others have mentioned, as you pull up to the hotel it is like a service entrance, but having explored Monaco it does seem that a lot of places are built like this as it is built into a rock / hillside, so don’t be put off by this. We booked a Mountain View king. I requested a early check in and a sea view, we were given the early check in but not the sea view but to be honest because we arrived at 11am I was much happier to have the early check in! The Mountain View room does not have a balcony it’s more of a city hotel room, overlooking the Monaco team training football pitch. I would suggest getting the sea view room with balcony as the marina is beautiful. The room/corridor/lifts are pretty dated, but clean and spacious. Fine for a night or 2 (we stayed in the W in Greece 2 weeks ago and obviously this is part of the same group, but a world away in decor!) Positives - wonderful fluffy bathrobes and good quality slippers - Proper coffee machine (although coffee pods a little weak!) - Nice firm bed - If you like fluffy pillows you’ll sleep well. Sadly I requested firm pillows but they don’t have them - Beautifully done pool area and outside terrace which was very under used so no issue getting sunbeds in late September at the weekend. - Right on the port front - Excellent complimentary shuttle service to Monaco & the drivers gave good information. You need to pre book and they go on the hour. They can drop you at the train station, the palace or the casino. When we went to the palace we got dropped at the top and walked down, felt very smug vs all the people struggling UP the 1000s of steps and hill!! - You can take uber from the hotel - We were there during an expo in Monaco and all the city buses were free! Take #6 back to Stade Louis || stop and this is opposite the hotel, took 10 min from the Casino - Breakfast good value at cafe round corner to hotel Les Oliviers (turn right at the port) - €15 for a cappucino, avocado egg toast and a huge croissant Possible Negatives - room/corridor dated - Room felt a bit stuffy & dark as couldn’t open a window - No pillow menu - No option to have the shuttle collect you from Monaco centre (wasn’t a problem for us but I don’t know if the buses are always free) - Breakfast pricy There is a gym but we didn’t use it I would return to this hotel if the price was right & enjoyed my stay.

Splendid Hotel
I stayed at the Marriott Hotel Monaco in August and it was a wonderful experience. The hotel is excellently located, next to the football stadium and the port, just 100 meters from the beach. The rooms are spacious, with a balcony and a superb view of the sea. The restaurant with terrace offers a pleasant atmosphere, and the breakfast was absolutely perfect. The swimming pool is very beautiful, ideal for relaxation. A big plus is the free shuttle bus that takes you to all the important points of the city, very convenient and efficient. The staff is extremely hospitable and attentive. A special mention to the reception team, Beatrice and Didier, who showed great competence, professionalism and kindness. I will return with great pleasure to this little paradise

Ideal Place to Stay to Visit Monaco
Just enjoyed a two night stay here and it was a great experience. Despite technically not being in Monaco you only 20 yards from the border walk straight over. Around 20 minutes and you in Port Hercules/Casino area. A 5 minute walk places you at Port Fontvieille. You overlook a beautiful marina from what is a genuine 4 star hotel at a better price than the other hotels in Monaco. The hotel is well kept and clean. Staff are very helpful, friendly and attentive. The hotel is small and relaxed. Our family room was comfortable for 4 with big bathroom and shower. Modern feeling throughout. Restaurant and bar is nice all round, typically priced for the area. We didn’t eat here but menu looked good but we were out during the day seeing Monaco, Menton and travelled into Italy so ate out elsewhere. Only slight criticism would be breakfast appears only to buffet which was overkill when we would prefer a simple coffee and pastry. For the overall price I would highly recommend this as a Monaco base unless you want to spend the big money for the luxury and charm of the big 5 star hotels in the centre.

Monoco hotel closer than Cannes
The main entrance was like a delivery service road, However once in the reception was fine and plenty of space. Easy checkin, The room was clean and with a good view of the bay, room with sea veiw. For the cost i was a bit disappointed regards to the tiling and bath, the bath had be sprayed and was plealling with showed the dirt, even though it was clean. The tiles was on the side of the bath not level. At breakfast this was nicely laid out and a good selection. Some of the cushions did have holes in them and we both did not expect this. Staff were friendly and sitting out side was great. However be aware if you leave your food or drink unattended, the birds will eat it for you. This you expect if your right next to the water front. For the price it would have expected the smaller items to be addressed. All in all it was a plasent short stay.

Not a memorable experience
I juet stayed at this hotel for five days. I would say it is overpriced for what they offer. The hotel lobby is OK, the rooms are spacious and have a nice view. I am a titanium member and I was upgraded to a room with see view. Below are some areas where they fall short: 1) overall service is average at best, 2) the restaurant food and service is horrible, 3) the carpets in the lobby and hallways is worn out, 4) the pool is small and does not have railling handle bars for the phisically challenged and finally 5) parking in their garage is not guaranteed. Every night I returned to the hotel late (1:00 am) and there was no parking available. I had to look all over town for a parking space, coming from the US it was difficult for me to find parking late at night. I suggest they offer valet parking. Oh by the way, when I requested to speak with the general manager, they said would contact me on Monday morning for a meeting , but nothing happened... They ignored me!!! I hope they take this review serious and improve. I thing three stars is generous but I liked the location and the view.
