Two facilities, two times the fun! Guests of Riu Vallarta enjoy exchange privileges with Riu Jalisco (dinner restaurants excluded). Guests can enjoy access to both facilities, including activities and entertainment. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon at Renova Spa or take advantage of the fitness center and daily activities such as volleyball, table tennis, and an introductory scuba lesson in the pool.
Four restaurants serve delectable dishes. The buffet restaurant is sure to have something for even the pickiest eaters. Twice a week, special theme dinners are served. The gourmet, Asian, and Grill Steakhouse offer à la carte and buffet choices nightly. Snacks are available 24-hours a day, and the five bars, including a swim-up bar, serve unlimited drinks. Each guest room also has a stocked mini-bar and liquor dispenser.
RiuLand Mini-Club features a playground and non-stop fun for kids ages 4-12. Adults can dance the night away at Pacha Disco. Entrance and drinks are included! Complimentary 24-hour WiFi is also available in the common areas of the resort (available in rooms for an additional charge).

We stayed at the Riu Vallarta for 7 days. The third week of November/2024. The stay was very relaxed. We participated in some of the games that were offered. Very entertaining. The staff were very efficient and helpful. The buffet has a wide variety, to suit every appetite. The room was very comfort. We would love to stay there again.

Great Resort!
Have been to this resort twice and will return again. Love the unlimited al a carte restaurants and no reservations needed. As it’s on a first come first serve basis, there can be long waits to get in depending on the time of the evening, especially at the steakhouse. Rooms are updated. Even has a mini bar with a hard liquor dispenser in the room. Great service. Very clean resort. Nice beach that you can swim in.

I have been to Riu Vallarta many times over the last 10 years. It had some renovations done I believe about 2 years ago. The rooms are nice but they removed the tubs and only have a shower and they removed the sink counters, so there isn't lots of space to put things. Likely both changes are easier to care and clean for the staff. The lobby isnt as grandly decorated as it used to be but still very nice. Upon arrival they no longer offer a greeting drink like they used to which was a nice touch. This resort is adults and children with a child's pool and 3 other pools. The quieter pool is on the south side of the property. The middle one is usually volleyball and there are 2 pools on the north side, 1 is party central and very loud and the other is combo with kids and also where they have daily aquafit and the famous foam parties. The food is very good and many restaurants to chose from. You no longer call to reserve but rather line up at 530 and once full they give you a pager when a spot is free. The main buffet is come and go for breakfast, lunch, dinner late until 930 I beleive. I love the Tilapia, Guacamole and pico! There is a sports bar open 24/7 off the lobby also where you can get snacks and drinks. They have a pool table and TVs as well with 2 computers. The service is outstanding and the staff are always helpful and kind. If you want to take a taxi into town or north to Buceries, just ask the front staff and they will get one for you. Paradise plaza mall is about 200 pesos but ask before you get in. The airport is about 290 Pesos. We upgraded our room on day 3 to a ocean view room 7041 very beautiful! The nightly entertainment is amazing and every person on the staff have a great role to play in the productions for kids and adults alike. The acrobat night was very impressive! Friday nights there is no entertainment as that is the joint Riu Jalisco party night where they pick you up and have a partty with another hotel. There are restrooms just by the spa in the main floor. For wheelchair access to the main area, take the north elevator to the basement and there is a ramp to get to the main court yard, the main restaurants Rafaels and all the other restaurants and show area. This where you also walk to the pool and beach. The loungers are metal by the pool and they can get hot which is my only negative My large and only real complaint was they allow people to play loud music on the beach which is sad when you want to hear the ocean. Overall great!

Great family trip
We attended the Riu in November 2024 with our entire family in tow....My husband and I, five adult children (all over 30) and our grandbaby (almost one!). A wonderful time was had by all. The resort was clean, the staff was amazing (Rosa cleaned our room, Pedro/Diana/Armando at the pool bar, Mimi in the fitness area. The food was good and plentiful. Entertainment was... well ... entertaining. All very enjoyable!!

Beautiful week vacation 💕
Awesome resort, worth our money and we enjoyed everything. We were there November 10 - 17/24. Food & service was efficient and always clean & fresh towels. So happy with rooms & air conditioning in rooms. Pools & ocean beach were clean and despite sellers on the beach it was still beautiful . We went on a beautiful adventure called the rhythms of the night and all excursions are a 10 min taxis ride away but still a beautiful excursion.! The only thing that was upsetting was a SUNWING rep. Was disappointing on the Monday and didn’t give us a good feel about any deep sea fishing prices that were reasonable to purchase. Then he said I guess I can’t help you. I didn’t get his name as he was not wearing a name tag, but he was tall and clean shaven and black hair. We then met a different Rep. 4 days later whose name was Jesus and he was a world of difference. That’s how we went on a fabulous adventure Rythums of the night. He also said he would talk to the other Rep of SUNWING who disappointed us. We were greatly satisfied by this!!!
