Oct 29, 2026Avoid. There are much better hotels in Dublin. Dont waste your money.
Avoid. Did not provide the room we booked. Refused any alteration or refund. Staff were rude. Had to avoid the drug addicts hanging out in the front door. Did not feel safe.

Oct 29, 2026Short October stay
My second stay here. I arrived early and was assigned a room near family who arrived a few days earlier, so huge thanks to really helpful reception staff. Great location, very clean, good breakfast selection. Staff in the lobby bar are super helpful and attentive. Shout out to Daniel and Sathya for being such great ambassadors for the hotel!! And thanks for the really delicious espresso martini and Irish coffee. The hotel is ideally located for access to Dublin centre, the trams and also the Airbus to and from the airport.

Excellent staff in an excellent hotel!
This is our third time in the Riu Gresham! It’s absolutely lovely and the service is excellent! We love sitting in the lobby bar, where the bar staff does everything for a great experience! Especially Alberto en Airam made the best cocktails and coffee ever tasted in Dublin! We will come again soon!

Oct 29, 2026Would Stay Again- Mistakes Happen
The hotel location was great, about a 15-minute walk from the train station and close to restaurants, shopping and pubs. Check-in was quick and the room was a decent size and clean. The bed was comfortable and there was a kettle with tea bags and instant coffee, and a fridge. The hotel seemed busy but there were no noises at night. The breakfast was great with a buffet with a lot of hot and cold items. All of the staff I dealt with were friendly and helpful. I would have rated the hotel higher but a few hours after I checked-in, a stranger entered my room. The hotel made a mistake and provided a new guest with an access card to my room. Luckily, I was in my room when the other guest entered. I understand that mistakes happen, but my major concern was that I had double locked the door and this stranger was still able to open my door. Somone from the hotel came to my room to provide me with a new access card, and tested the double lock, which did not appear to work. They indicated that maintenance would come to check the lock the next day. I do not know if maintenance ever did come to my room as it is impossible to test the double lock yourself. I rely on the double lock when I am in my room and found this unsettling. I slept at night with a closet door open at my room door along with a chair at the door, hoping that I would wake up if somebody else entered my room. As far as I know, nobody accessed my room after the initial error.
