Oct 30, 2026The perfect NYC stay
We’ve had an excellent stay at the hotel and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting New York! The room was clean, spacious and comfortable, with a really comfy bed that made it easy to relax and recharge after busy days exploring the city. Everything was well presented, and the room gave us plenty of space to unwind, which was a real bonus. The gym was also great, with good facilities and a welcome opportunity to fit in a workout during our stay. Breakfast was another highlight, with a fantastic choice of options to suit everyone. The restaurant was well staffed, and the team did a great job keeping everything running smoothly, even when it was busy. One of the unexpected highlights was the music playing in the lifts! It was such a fun little touch and genuinely made us smile every time we used them. It’s the little things like this that help make a hotel stay memorable. The location was ideal for exploring New York, making it easy to get out and enjoy everything the city has to offer before returning to a comfortable room at the end of a long day. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for much more. Comfortable accommodation, excellent facilities, a great breakfast and friendly, efficient service all contributed to a fantastic stay. We would happily stay here again on our next visit to New York and would definitely recommend it to others looking for a comfortable and enjoyable city break!

Oct 28, 2026Good- but frosted glass shower that faces bedroom
This was a good hotel with a good location and breakfast. Having stayed at other Riu Hotels, the others were much nicer and roomier, but given this one’s location (and that it is in Manhattan) it made up for it. That being said, in our room the shower was directly connected to the area with the beds with a frosted glass wall…. If the light was on in the bathroom it lit up the room, and made for some very interesting showers with my family in the other area. I can’t see this “feature” in the photos posted on here, so maybe that was just a feature of our particular room - but be warned, lol.

First Time in New York .... Wow
Fantastic location. We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights during October half term(UK) and were not disappointed. We were allocated a room on the 27th floor, a deluxe family room with sofa bed. The room was a very good size, suitcases can be stored under the bed so not to impede on the floor space. More than adequate facilities and tbh, we didn't spend much time in the room as we were out exploring the city. A lot of people have commented on the long queues for Breakfast, we didn't experience this as our body clock was totally out of sync and we were up and down for breakfast each morning at 7am. I can imagine that if you were to have a later breakfast, then to expect a wait as you have to register for breakfast in the Lobby and then be escorted to the 5th floor which is where the restaurant is situated. Good selection of hot, cold and continental items available. All the staff that we encountered were extremely welcoming and friendly. Tourist tax is paid upon check in and a hold is charged to you payment card which is refunded upon check out. The only small niggle is that there are no stairs, but I can't imagine anyone wants to walk up 45 floors, this means that when it's busy, especially between 7-10 which is breakfast, the lift can take a while but this is nothing major and is to be expected in a hotel of this size. As previously mentioned, the location of this hotel is perfect, a stones throw from times square and easy access to the subway a short walk. This was our first time in New York and I feel we couldn't have asked for anything better and would 100% recommend this hotel!!!

Very central hotel
Location very good atmosphere lovely, welcome desk people not the best . rooms very nice only downside is the lifts especially in the mornings going for breakfast is almost impossible so we had to take the stairs wasn’t easy as we was on floor 21 😬 lifts are annoying having to wait for ages and then you end up stopping on all floors it takes forever!!!!

The walls here are so thin you can hear people having conversations next door, hear the hairdryers nearby, hear people chatting while they wait for the lift, hear kids running up and down the hallways and best of all you can hear it all at 6am. While the location is convenient i won’t be back and I’d suggest a different hotel is worth paying extra for.
