  Fantastic

  We booked the Riu with ouf loayalty points, it was our 46th wedding anniversary, reception was very efficient, and we were served by Lia, she upgraded us to a kingsize room with views. This was our 3rd stay here and they have all been great. The staff have all been great with us, the rooms have all been comfortable and very clean, the breakfast is slways superb with a fantastic selection, and there is a large selection of restaraunts close by, transport is close with rail and bus station, a taxi rank outside, the appollo theatre down the road, and a wetherspoons next day. It is a fantastic hotel please try it. Thank you to all at Riu great as usual.

  Fantastic hotel and location 100% nothing to fault

  Excellent hotel great location right by Victoria tube/station some great bars even cheap Wetherspoons right next door and a great Italian restaurant right by the hotel,the riu is spotless the breakfast is fantastic everything you could want and check isn’t until 12,shampoo etc and hairdryer in the bedroom,comfy bed,look out for the c10 bus that takes you back to Victoria,cannot fault this hotel it’s brilliant well done Riu

  RIU PLAZA LONDON VICTORIA

  January 19th 2026 Our room located on the 8th floor was very comfortable, very clean and quiet. The breakfast is fabulous, lots of choices. Staff were outstand to us. Sonia Assistant General Manager was incredibly friendly and attentive making us feel right at home. THANK YOU.

  Disappointing stay

  Overall, really disappointing experience, specifically due to the front desk staff. I had two most unpleasant experiences. When i checked in on Sunday, the 28th December, I expressed my disappointment that my children were allocated to a different floor to my husband and I, despite the special request at the time of booking (in Nov 2025), that we are placed on the same floor. I expressed my disappointment to the check in clerk, Glena. When we checked out, on the 3rd of January, we went to reception to collect our stored luggage. Whilst we were at reception, my family and I hear Glena repeat the story, of how a particular Mum made a big scene that her children and her were on different floors. When we confronted her, she denied having said that and roped her colleagues in, as witnesses to the same. Further, during the week, my daughters who were in Room 710, witnessed a disagreement between the housekeeping manager and cleaner. Fair enough, it was acknowledged with an apology letter and chocolates however this was most unpleasant. Further, the hotel staff (particularly the front desk) are largely indifferent and unhelpful. The more pleasant staff are the cleaners, luggage storage and breakfast team. This is probably the only hotel that i have ever stayed at, in over 20 years, that did not acknowledge my birthday with even just a card. Overall, this is not the hotel for family holidays. I expected more from this stay. note - feedback provided directly to RIU via their survey and no response received.

  Unfriendly Front Desk and Unacceptable Wi-Fi Service

  Very disappointed with the service at this RIU property. On December 20 around 10:00 pm, the front desk staff, including the manager on duty, were unfriendly and unhelpful, which is not what you expect from an international hotel brand. The Wi-Fi was also extremely poor and unreliable throughout the stay, which is a major issue for travelers. I travel frequently and work in luxury travel, so my expectations are based on extensive experience. Unfortunately, this stay did not meet even basic service standards and left a very negative impression.
