    Nice location, bad service

    The location of this hotel is great, the service is not! It felt like this hotel caters to a more corporate environment. Never really felt welcome, not much help from any of the staff. Madrid was great, but I'd find somewhere else to stay if I come back.

    Best service, best room, best breakfast , all are the best hotel. room very clean. a lot of food, upgrade without fee . reasonable and inexpensive parking fee. very close to attractions to walk. We will come back again

    Old School Charm

    I was a fan of the old school charm from the beginning/mid 1900's vibe. The breakfast was phenomenal. A must get when making a reservation. I was high up, but the window would only open 1/4 of the way. Which makes since from a safety perspective, but on a few nights, since the A/C was off for the season, the window would not stay open to get the wind through so sleeping was not ideal. The flooring was wierd for myself, it was not carpet or tile, but something I have never experienced in my travels. It was kindly of like a rough plastic,at least that is what I think, could be wrong, not bad, but unusual for me. If you're planning a stay, here’s what to expect: the hotel exudes a nostalgic charm, reminiscent of the mid-1900s—a real treat for fans of vintage vibes. The breakfast is absolutely phenomenal and worth including in your reservation. Rooms on higher floors offer great views, but note that the windows only open a quarter of the way—a practical safety feature. However, if you visit in the off-season when the A/C is off, the limited ventilation might make warm nights less comfortable. The flooring is unique—neither carpet nor tile but something resembling rough plastic. It’s not unpleasant, just unusual compared to typical hotel flooring. All in all, a memorable and distinctive experience!

    Really good hotel in Madrid

    Excellent location, the staff was welcoming and polite and concerned for our wellbeing. What I appreciated most was the security to access the rooms and other facilities. Rooms clean, large and comfortable. We added the breakfast to our reservation and we couldn’t be more satisfied. The buffet had everything we could ask and more. Different stations: fruits, eggs , bread, charcuterie, juices… the service was impeccable. Next time in Madrid we will consider staying at Riu again.
