Jan 23, 2025Wonderful winter getaway
As someone who relies on reviews I figured it’s about time I write one! My solo stay at this RIU was wonderful! Sharing a few hopefully helpful notes: - the staff are all incredible and work SO.HARD. - from the groundskeepers to the cleaners, the cooks to the wait staff - their hard work was evident. The resort itself is a bit older but very well maintained. - the Villas were wonderful to stay in and was an adults only area - of note there are no elevators and if it rains there are no covered walkway to get to the dining and entertainment (short walk outside but can get slippery!) - I was impressed with the quality of food and also the availability of bottled water wherever you went. - as a solo traveler I felt totally welcomed, safe, and comfortable

My family and I have been staying in Riu hotels my whole life and they do not disappoint! Loved the coffee shop, and the steakhouse was so amazing we ate there every night. We rode the city bus into town for 1$ and it was easy and convenient. I will always come back here.

Great All Inclusive
We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was always extra clean and the service was phenomenal. The Adults only villa suites were spacious and comfortable. I would say be aware that there are no elevators in the villas and I did grow a bit weary of the climb to the third floor a few times per day. Also, the Riu Caribe is next door and it is VERY loud. The restaurants were good, especially the Kulinarium, which was exclusive to the villas. The buffets were terrifically varied in food offerings. I highly recommend this prpoerty.

I do not recommend it to anyone! •We got sick because of the moldy walls! They are trying to paint and put up the (freshly painted sign as if they are really interested in renovating the hotel but this is just a deception to cover up the mold) everywhere •When it rains, it rains everywhere and they are not prepared for this. Especially not in the VIP area! •There was no water in the entire hotel so we could not use the toilet for a while. •As soon as we handed in the room cards to check out (we still had a 5 hour wait until the airport) the moment we handed in the cards they turned off the internet and we could not go back and when we reported this problem at the reception Nadyana laughed in our face that this was the case and she and her friend continued to laugh sarcastically, she did not show any helpful performance, she spoke to us in a style that was below critical. •Most of the servers don't speak English well so 9/10 times when I asked for almond milk they gave me plain. Also they didn't understand our requests many times •We asked the maid for a few extra pieces of hangers at the very beginning (we showed them to her) and they haven't arrived since. •The food is sometimes good sometimes not sometimes the meat is raw sometimes delicious. •The animators and the pool waiters and bartenders are nice and skilled.

Vacation
Our food and drinks were fabulous. Staff was very attentive. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Our room was clean and comfortable!
