Great hotel and received great service. The grounds were nicely, kept, and staff was great would recommend. Enjoy the buffet and the à la carte restaurants. Also, the pools and the beach were nice. Didn’t have any issues from the time we checked in to the time we left.

Beautiful, Well Kept Property
Riu seems to be our new go to for travel. The swim up bars are not overloaded and the food is fabulous! They have lobster at the steak house which was a big plus! Lots of restaurants to choose from and there is always something open for late night snacking. The resort is so far away from everything and taxis are extremely expensive. So, we stayed at the resort most of the time.

Riu Costa Mujeres was overall had a truly relaxing and enjoyable experience. The Highlights: • Location: The hotel is beautifully situated with easy access to the beach, offering stunning views and a tranquil atmosphere. • Cleanliness: Both the indoor and outdoor areas were spotless. The grounds were very well maintained, and our room was consistently clean and comfortable. • Dining: The buffet and restaurants were spacious and never felt overcrowded. We were especially impressed with how the buffet menu varied daily, keeping meals interesting even during a longer stay. We loved lobster night! • Service: Staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful. A special shout-out to Franco at the buffet who made special arrangements to decorate our table on my mom’s birthday and Celia, who cleaned our room – their warmth and attention to detail truly made a difference in our stay. Areas for Improvement: • Steakhouse Meat Quality: While we appreciated the variety of dining options, the steakhouse was disappointing. The meat was consistently overcooked across multiple visits. • Slippery Flooring – WARNING AND URGENT MATTER: One of the most concerning issues was the slippery floors around the pool, beach access paths, and especially in the buffet area. On just our first day, we witnessed two women fall at the buffet, another guest slip on the walkway to the beach, and unfortunately, my own daughter fell near the ice machine (which kept the area wet throughout the week). New the pool, it was more often than not, to see children fell despite them walking carefully on that area. This is a safety concern that needs urgent attention. • Smoking Areas: Despite designated smoking zones, we saw multiple guests smoking on the beach, which impacted the experience for non-smoking guests and families. Final Thoughts: The Riu Costa Mujeres is a beautiful property with excellent service and plenty of relaxing spaces to unwind. The friendly staff and diverse buffet made our stay memorable. With a few BUT IMPORTANT safety and policy improvements, this could become the perfect experience.

First time at Riu Palace Costa Mujeres what a amazing experience resort is beautiful super super clean amazing food and drinks me and my wife would like to thank each and every one that works in this resort . A special thanks to Sandra that took care of our room what a amazing job she did and to Sanchez at the square garden with great drinks 🍸 and Julio the waiter at the beach and Alex at the pool giving us a great service and very professional.can wait to go back to this resort

Destination Wedding - Family Trip
Had a great time at Hotel Riu Palace Codta Mujeres. The rooms were amazing! Spacious and the housekeepers did an amazing job of keeping it clean daily. The resort is beautiful! The food variety was good, the restaurants in the resort are absolutely amazing! Shoutout to Miguel who was serving us drinks, he was extremely nice!
