As I said in the subject line of this review, the property was beautiful. Absolutely gorgeous view, and beautiful clean pools. The campus was clean overall, and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. And on top of all of that, the food was the best food I've ever had at an all-inclusive resort. The only thing I would say is the snack bar or the room service menu could have been better. I expected to be able to grab a quesadilla or guacamole. Those are not available, just burgers, hot dogs and the french fries

Jun 18, 2025Terrible restaurants ... honestly some of the worse I've ever been to.
Restaurants are utterly rubbish. Japanese is probably the worst I've been to ever in my life, even the Mexican place...which you'd think would be decent, was mediocre. Literally walked out of the Italian place, it was so bad. Buffet was occasionally good, usually either ok or terrible. Oddly, their booking system is also very sus - typically we'd arrive, see a half-empty place and be told to come back in 60-90mins, which when we did, guess what... still half empty. I guess this is what happens when you're a not worried about going out of business due to the terrible food you're serving or getting paying customers seated.... I would HIGHLY suggest you look at the Grand Fiesta Americana - way WAAAAY better. Room was ok, service is decent, not great - wouldn't come back here and clearly wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

All inclusive huge complex with many eating options, activities. Like a cruise ship that's on land. Nice size rooms, lots of space, various pools, evening entertainment.

A Fantastic Time
Beautiful as always as I celebrated my birthday. The resort is clean, the rooms are nice, bed is comfortable, the staff is exceptional and the food is delicious. The hamburgers are always so juicy and the french toast, EVERYTHING. I will say, that this is the first time the RIU gave me a piece cake and sang happy birthday to me and i've been at the resort for the last 4 birthdays and didn't receive anything. Looking forward to coming back. And a special shout out to the host and servers at the Steak House on June 8th. They honored my request when I told them my fear of cats.

Great Stay!
I recently stayed at Hotel Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas for a 9-night honeymoon, and overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable experience. The resort strikes a great balance between comfort, service, and affordability, making it a solid choice for a mid-tier all-inclusive vacation. Check-In & First Impressions: The check-in process was smooth and welcoming. Staff were friendly, offered us a welcome drink, and explained the resort layout and amenities clearly. Room: Our room was spacious and well-maintained, featuring a balcony with a partial ocean view. The bed was comfortable, and the minibar was stocked daily. While the decor wasn’t ultra-luxurious, it was clean and functional. The bedroom could use some minor upgrades, but nothing that affected our stay. Food & Drinks: There were multiple restaurants on site, including buffet and à la carte options. The buffet had a good variety, especially for breakfast. The Mexican and Steakhouse restaurants were standout meals. Cocktails were great and bartenders were generous. Room service was available but had limited hours. Pool & Beach: The pool area was a highlight — clean, lively, with plenty of loungers. The beach was beautiful, though you couldn’t swim because it was rough water. Staff offered drink service near the pools! There were also three bars near the pool and the beach - two swim up bars and a beach bar. Activities & Entertainment: Daily activities like beach soccer, beach volleyball, tennis and pickleball were offered. Nightly shows were entertaining, though not Broadway-level. There’s also a small spa and gym — both were adequate for a short stay. Also, there is a pool club scene at their sister hotel - Riu Santa Fe. Service: Service was consistently great, with most staff speaking fluent English. The concierge helped us book a couple of excursions easily. Tipping seemed appreciated but wasn’t expected. Final Verdict: Riu Palace offers great value for a four-star all-inclusive. While it doesn’t have the opulence of a five-star resort, it delivers clean facilities, good food, and genuine hospitality. Perfect for families, couples, or groups looking for a carefree and fun beach escape.
