We were moved here from the RIU Republica during a bad situation. This place is amazing. Will definitely be back. The staff was so friendly, property was kept immaculate! Atmosphere and food were also amazing!

Great place!!
Place totally remodeled in 2024 and it shows! Rooms are great with very comfortable beds,nice big walk in shower and separate toilet room. The food is ok but because there making so much for so many people some food seemed uncooked. We tried the Italian place and the steak house and both were average at best. Everything else about the place we loved!!

Best all inclusive we have stayed at. Grounds are well maintained and very clean. Pool is nice. Lots of seats. Beach is soft sand with minimal algae. Buffet is huge and varied. Should have theme night to change it up though. A la carte restos can be hard to get place but we ate at all of them. Above average for sure. Rooms are clean but sheets and towels need new ones. All were old and wormed down. Weird musty smell in our room.

ELITE CLUB - not worth it. We spent a week in RIU Palace Bavaro Elite Club --- March 1 - March 8 We have been in many RIU Hotels during the past 20 years, and for the first time, I have to write a bad review. Nice room, nice location, nice pool, nice beach place with cabanas, But for the first time at RIU I can feel a lack of hygiene, old used bath towels (Elit Club Room!!!) old used and in very bad condition beach towels, and old dirty beach chairs. THE KITCHEN STAFF DID NOT USE ONE-TIME USE PROTECTIVE PLASTIC GLOVES to serve fruits or cold cuts to guests' platers in the buffet. They cut and put on the platters with bare hands, a complete lack of hygiene.!!! We found pieces of plastic in our food. Drinks are better in the Elite Lounge, but in the Elite Club restaurant, the food is the same quality as in Krystal or Kulinarium in other RIUs. It is better to buy a better room instead of spending money on Elite Club.

Luxury hotel
Food quality and drinks were top quality too. Especially the lovely cocktails of the day trolley! I am wheat snd dairy free and could find plenty to eat. Beautiful beach and loved the pools. Our room was huge snd exceedingly comfortable
