The hotel is very lively but I don't think I would rate it a palace having travelled to quite a few Rius. The staff were very happy & helpful except in the restaurant I believe it was White Bay every evening we would have to find a table and set it up ourselves. If drinks were ordered they seldom arrived & we would constantly have to ask after a while it became very annoying.

This was my first resort stay in Jamaica and I loved it so much, I will be back. Shout out to the entertainment team, lifeguards and bar staff and the restaurants who really upheld the vibes 24/7

Its a great 4 star
The resort and entertainment is tops, the resort staff are amazing!!! The food could be better.. 4 restaurants all attached to the buffet means they all serve the same stuff and plate it differently.. the Jerk at Pepes is great but how much can you eat. Its a party spot if you planning a romantic get away Riu MB may not be it. Crowds can be a little ghetto fabulous as they want to party.. the night shows are great esp the reggae concerts .. but all in all its a good spot. I cant to go home and eat.. but the resort staff from the cleaning people, maintenance and even the people working in the restaurants are all fantastic. Don’t get it twisted they work hard. They like to be treated with respect if you do they treat you exceptionally. Entertainment ppl too very friendly

Great hotel, great service great staff however they need more umbrellas for the beach. It is a shame that you can’t find
They need to have more functional umbrellas for when you are on the beach they do not have enough and you can barely find a shade to shade you from that hot sun on the beach. It is ridiculous other than that perfect

I was amazed that someone in our party got injured from a broken plate in the dining area, no fault of hers, her foot was bleeding for quite sometime if the nurse had to attend to her, she was told it would be a $65 charge. She had to treat and bandage the wound herself. This incident occurred on the property yet the hotel did not take responsibility.to give her the necessary treatment. Needless to say, we were very disappointed on the action of hotel management handling such situation. The beach was disappointing, my husband was looking forward to swimming everyday, he loves the water. He was only able to goi in the water twice because it was very rocky. I know nothing can be done now about the structure of the rooms, we had the quad. That's such poor design with one room total blocked off from the ocean front view it was interior This is very disappointing, I sent some pictures to friends who lives in Jamaica, they got the urge to vacation at the RIU., they called to make reservations, only to find out Jamaican currency isn't accepted. What establishment don't accept their one country's currency? Which Cleary states the locals are not welcome. SHAME ON RIU for doing that, I hope your workers are being paid in U S dollars. As Jamaicans would say, " them sell us out again". I'm urging the organization to address and seriously look to improve the above matters. I'm hoping my concerns reaches corporate, feel free to follow up with a response.
