Jan 27, 2026Renovations are amazing
Love this resort. Love the Renos. A couple of things I would like to see, the new Sports Bar…..needs some changes. Show hockey games, over half the people there are Canadian. Maybe play some music later in the evening, the kids have the disco, give us more mature people something to do later at night. The pool area walkways are very slippery, saw many people fall, if you walk in sandals or shoes it’s all good, but bare feet is scary. The staff are amazing and the beach is beautiful. Lots of loungers. Will be back next year.

Jan 27, 2026Renos are good except open concept bathoom and pool ambiance is a down grade from former layout.
Disappointed that when the renovations were done the bathrooms still don't have doors. Not convenient when travelling with family members. The shower is open and there is nowhere to change privately. Should put sliding doors on the bathrooms, at least. Also the pool previous design was better ambiance. Rectangular boxes are boring.

Excellent stay with young family
Had a great stay with our family of 5. The 3 bed family room fit everyone nicely and the whole resort seemed geared towards ensuring kids were included and having a fun time. The pools and beach were excellent, as was the kids pool area, I would say good for kids ages 3-10. Overall a great stay, hope to be back again next year.

AMAZING!
We had stayed at the Jalisco in 2025. We were told that the whole resort was going to be transformed by next year. I believed it would be putting a fresh coat of paint here and there. Man, was I ever wrong! The transformation was jaw-dropping! I enjoyed the resort so much last year, as it was a serious upgrade over our last all-inclusive experience. But this year? The Jalisco is a totally new resort! The staff were incredibly friendly, kind, and helpful. But we had a few instances thar we did not enjoy. Our bed was rock hard. It was brand new, but not one we would have chosen. And the entertainment was exactly the same as last year.

Will stay again!
We had an incredible trip and an excellent stay at Riu Jalisco. Pools were wonderful, rooms were new, clean and comfortable. Food and service were excellent except for the steakhouse. Food was “ok”, service (our waiter) was not great. However, the older gentleman pouring our wine was wonderful and attentive. Asian restaurant was great, service in buffet was excellent (Caleb). Suggestion for the “American” restaurant may want to look at other options for menu. Overall we had an excellent stay. Plenty of chairs by pool and beach.
