This hotel is great! We traveled here for the 2nd time (first since all the Renos). Staff is always great, the updates are lovely and there’s always something to do. The food is pretty good, better post Reno. The location is good, short uber into Bucerias. My one “complaint” is I liked the pools better before. Now there’s just 3 rectangular pools, they lost their charm. You can’t beat the value of this hotel if you get a good sale. Also, I love that we can fit my entire family of 5 in one room.

We didn’t like that you got ride of the one pool and put in a rectangular one. Also you took out the nice fountain.

Rui Jalisco - January 2026
We were a group of 19 people, including two children (5 and 10 years old) and two infants. The resort was very good. Staff were excellent, everything was clean or being cleaned all the time, the location is not far from the airport, the rooms were very spacious, beds were comfortable. The food was very good. Check in and check out was very efficient. Activities were good. We went to the Steak House and the Asian restaurants. The food was good at each of those places. At other meals, we went to the buffet and the Taco restaurant. Food was great at each place. We did feel that the tiles around and on the steps into the pools were very slippery when they were wet. However, if someone fell, the first aid staff were immediately available and attending to the injured person. Overall, I would recommend this resort.

Very nice resort
We really enjoyed this resort, one of the best we've been at so far, the only downside was that our room was overlooking at a part of the hotel that was being renovated which was really noisy early in the morning. The other negative comment I have is that they need more shade umbrellas at the beach provided by the resort and not rentals from locals.

Love Riu’s!
I typically stay at Riu’s when I go to all inclusive because they are clean, have lots of beach chairs and the friendliest staff.
