This hotel was amazing , loved ebay minute of being here. Lovely clean rooms , friendly staff and fantastic food. The staff take pride in what they do. The beach is lovely , clean pools , lots of water sports and activities to try . I cannot find 1 fault with this resort. Worth every penny.

We stayed at Riu Caribe for about a week during holidays this year, everything from room, cleanliness, food was great, however the buffet servers can greatly improve with timely serving drinks and clearing plates, we felt that it was very off and delayed. For all inclusive, food was not bad but can do better with more flavor and frequent change in menu. Very kid friendly with lots of fun activities for adults and kids and wheelchair accessible. Very disappointed on their mindfulness for family with kids, as we were given room on the party side which was changed to less noisy side of the property with excellent ocean view on request the next day, but at least they changed it for us.

Pros: * Great crafting in kids club - shoutout to Ariane * Extra single bed provided for 4yr old * The RiuParty area is well sound proofed * Buffet restaurant very good * Asian restaurant is good with friendly staff but is all buffet * Entertainment team are exceptional - the energy they have to repeat the same activities, day in day out, is admirable - also the friendliest of the staff * Cleaning staff were always very kind and friendly * 24hr sports bar provides a decent morning coffee (to bring back to the room post sunbed saving) * Poolside Taco bar was good if repetitive Cons: * Cot was a travel cot with blue fleece blankets as mattress = very sweaty (luckily we brought a fitted cot sheet) * The double beds are bachelor beds - couldn’t fit two people *Mexican restaurant terrible - no appetisers available in buffet and mains were delivered cold & bland * Steak restaurant - made to feel very unwelcome with children by Francisco repeatedly, food average * No child specific food options or adapted menu in the ‘a la carte’ restaurants (you couldn’t remove items as all pre prepared) * Synthetic sweet Lime juice = no good traditional Margarita cocktail possible * No quiet pool - can’t escape LOUD repetitive entertainment from 1000 (main pool completely taken over by Aqua Fit 1200-1245 and crazy competition 1500-1615 daily) * Had to complain about the volume of the entertainment on one day as my Apple Watch was reporting over 90 decibels (my ears actually hurt) * The ‘quieter’ pool had scuba diving and water volley ball and was deep (4ft 10) * Pool area was never cleaned properly overnight in 11 days - sticky tables, ketchup on sunbeds, dirty floors * Pool tiles held standing water so people, especially children slipped daily * Had to get up early to save sunbeds or not get any - people had to place tables at edge of pool area to put their bags on * One lifeguard monitoring three pools + baby pool * People drinking in the pool and leaving cups all around the edge * Not enough cleaning staff as plates/cups everywhere around pool and eating area, which attracted wasps and seagulls * Very busy at weekends * Baby pool completely separate and walled off so not possible to use if you have children of multiple ages * No beach bar * Reported poo/caca in the pool to the towel staff & on the hotel App - response 3hrs later after Aqua Fit (I scooped some out with a cup to verify, which a staff member took) * New Years Day the pool and sun bed areas were still covered with cups, cigarette butts, hats, streamers etc when we came down (pool opens at 0800) floors were never cleaned after * Poolside snack bar was fine but fries so salty our son wouldn’t eat them * Pool bar coffee machine broke and was never fixed * Majority of staff seemed to care very little and/or are not fully trained in the art of hospitality I wouldn’t recommend as a family holiday with children younger than teenagers. We won’t be returning to any RIU brand hotel. This 5 star hotel is max a 3 star. First holiday where I was ready to go home before the end.

Great entertainment and parties, yet relaxing!
I think we have found our every time we visit hotel! Great combination of ultimate party and relaxing. Beach was beautiful. Staff was very attentive, service was great! The RIU Party’s were legit pool party’s, foam, DJ’s, plenty of bars for short wait times. Epic vacation, can’t wait to get back! Appears to be recently renovated, beautiful lobby, Oceanview rooms were great with balconies!

Nice Resort - Staff is Super - Some Ghettoness To The Guests
Overall a nice resort. It seems like it caters more to the young partiers and some ghetto forces were present during our stay - but mixture of all kinds there (families to older people). Whatever you do, if you're assigned a room that ends in 14 - 28 (even number 614, 616, 618, etc.) ask to be moved unless you want loud thumping for 4 straight hours thanks to Club Riu that's located right outside of these units.
