Jan 25, 2026Relaxing time, great spa treatments, enjoyable dining
This was my third time, solo, at this resort. I chose it because of the spa and natural beauty of the surrounds. I had the most amazing spa treatments with Laura, both facial and body massage. I would return just to repeat this experience. On my last day, after an incredible facial, I had a most enjoyable meal at Le Bistro, their À la Carte restaurant, where I was so well looked after by Gilberto, completing a wonderful day. I very much appreciated his care and attention to my dining experience, something sadly lacking at the buffet where solo diners are often overlooked, Thank you to Laura and Gilberto for creating great memories for me to hold on to now I am back in chilly Canada!

Very relaxing.
I want to start with the staff overall they were friendly and helpful. There were 2 exceptional staff members. Evelyn, the activities coordinator was always happy and working hard for the quests. We particularly enjoyed her daily water exercise class. The other was Jesus Edwardo on the front desk. Really nice guy who went out of his way to help us when we wanted to change rooms. He made sure we were given all the info about the resort that we felt we were lacking. I enjoyed the mature and beautiful landscaping. The resort is dated which shows, the rooms need updating. I liked the older architecture. I enjoyed the quiet of the resort which is great for relaxing and sleeping. Having been to a number of resorts, I found it unusual that there were only 2 restaurants and a small suhi bar. Mind you the resort was not very full so no issues with dinner seating and finding places by the pool.

Sure has gone down hill over the past 20 years. Maintenance has been very poor. Some things just don't work anymore, The grounds still are pretty.

Resort has potential but in a need of a major renovation. Filthy dirty, mould everywhere, room, pool, public bathrooms….everywhere! This is a time share with “all inclusive” they keep track of everything your eat or drink including water. Everything starts with opening a tab and then closing the tab showing what it would have cost you and looking for a tip based on that amount. Most staff are friendly and helpful. Not at the main deli. There is no beach access.

Once again, we are leaving this beautiful paradise with our hearts full! We cherish the people we have met along the way, their gracious hospitality, and warm hearts from the little things like the charming animals Yesenia and her colleagues in housekeeping create for us to discover, to the staff at the Cordeliere who made breakfast every day the best. We look forward to seeing Luis each year and staying in touch with him, and Jairo, Melchor, Claudio, Adrian, Carlos and Andres who served us some wonderful dinners along with so many others whose names I have not held on to! Jose, Humberto, Armando and others at the beach with the cool beverages and delicious shrimp cocktail. Santiago at the front desk made our arrival seamless and helped us many times throughout our visit. I would be remiss not to highlight the best part- everyday getting to do a beautiful yoga practice, Pilates, or spinning with the remarkable Heriberto (pictured). His dedication, skill, and professionalism are unmatched! My husband had some amazing personal training sessions with him that were so healing. We are grateful for this beautiful space and the people it holds! Also, a special shoutout to the lovely spa staff and the wonderful treatments we received. We will be back!
