Beautiful hotel with decent service.
Used this hotel through my timeshare program. Check in was quick and convenient. Staff throughout the hotel was friendly and competent, especially the two pool waiters. All rooms have a Sea of Cortez view. Room was clean and maid staff did a great job. Only two concerns. Smoke/Fire detectors were missing in my bedroom and living room, and also in my step-son’s room AND at the reception desk. Also, needed to extend my stay by six hours due to late night flight. Reception desk staff said it was 400 pesos. Next day, a Thursday, I went to the desk to extend by six hours and was told the rate was 2,050 pesos, a 5x increase from the day before. The front desk staff attributed this to the employee from the first day not knowing the correct fee. They refused to honor the lower fee. In the end, I used some additional timeshare points to cover the 2,050 fee. Very disappointed in this. Reception Staff should be aware of such fees. Hotel infinity pool is great and looks right out into the Sea of Cortez. Felt the restaurant was fairly priced compared to other resorts. Hotel isn’t full of lots of amenities such as gym, beauty shop, etc. but it was nice never the less, despite the two listed concerns. The hotel isn’t full a ways away from the Gold Zone and others tourist attractions but Uber/Didi prices are quite reasonable for fares to the Malecon, Gold Zone, Aquarium, etc. Plenty of hot water for showers. My room had an adequately stocked mini-kitchen. Area around hotel is quiet and peaceful.

Misleading
The room I given was smelly like a basement and moldy. The furniture was old and weathered. The manager gave me a different room when I asked. It was the same except the bedding was a different color. However, when I went to the mandatory time share presentation I was given a tour of nicer accommodations available to members only.It was applauding that since I paid with a Vacation Resort Certificate I was assigned to a crappie room. However, if I agree to become a member by spending at least $10,000, the management would immediately upgrade me to a decent room. I spent over $2,000 on airfare to have an extremely disappointing experience. The staff was very nice but they had to follow the rules they were given.

More like Park Okay
It's beach front with a beautiful infinity pool. Onsite restaurant with outdoor dining that overlooks the ocean and the pool. The food is very good and the service is exceptional. The breakfast buffet is delicious. The lunch and dinner food presentation is high end. It tastes authentic. The beach is beautiful but it has rough waves. Not recommended for swimming. We enjoyed the area as it's a little farther out so less vendors which has it's pros and cons. However, I think it makes for a much pleasant, undisturbed stay while you try to relax. Our room is a bit dated. The mattress feels low quality. It's on the hard side. The bathroom could use an update or maintenance. The air conditioning during our visit in July is a bit a hot. I informed the front desk but the room didn't improve. 25 celsius (77 degrees) during the day and about 22 celsius during the night. I'm surprised there's no microwave or fridge. But there's ice maker by the elevators. However, by the time I needed some ice, the ice were all used up. We did stayed in the 4th floor. If you're staying higher than 4th floor, the sales lady said those are reserved for the owners (kinda like timeshare owners). Btw, once you checked in the hotel, you'll automatically get someone to schedule a sales presentation.

Will never return and don't recommend
Only a selective amount of employees were great. That was the bell boys, the concierge lady, Jesus the poolside server, and the night time maintenance lady who was the one to provide us with the transportation service to the airport. Which the reception had no information to provide us and wanted us to wait for the bell boys to arrive at 8am when we needed to leave at 7am. Not really a kid friendly place.
