Konea 214 is our go-to place when in Maui
We love this resort. Konea room 214 is our go-to place while in Maui. The resort has changed a little since the Lahaina fire, 2 yrs ago. MRR no longer provides a free shuttle from the resorts into town, and several of the towel lockers have been removed so it's a little less convenient to get a pool towel than it used to be. This place would be better if it had electric vehicle charging stations around the resort.

Disappointed in Outrigger
Beautiful setting and condo 3 bed/3 bath layout. Very unhappy with Outrigger management. Rm 549 building was not cleaned prior to our arrival (after 11 pm.). After multiple calls and 2 days housekeeping and maintenance arrived. After “finishing”, the lead housekeeper asked us to review - hair still all over shower walls, bath counters still unclean (was told they didn’t have a product to clean buildup I could scrape off with fingernail), dead bugs. Very unacceptable. We also had several mechanical issues: no master bath plugins functioning, ice maker was not functioning, air conditioner controls not functioning properly. Fortunately, a contractor fixed the bad fuse and they brought up bagged ice.

Konea 1022 was awesome
Stayed in Konea 1022 partial oceanview room. Had a huge balcony with great views over the mountains and the ocean. Super comfortable apartment and spacious. Good sized bedroom with wardrobe and storage. Well appointed kitchen and bathroom. Loved this resort so much. Would stay in this room again. Rented through Maui Resort Rentals. Pool area is fantastic and beach is a stones throw away. Ate at duke’s for lunch and dinner which was excellent. Great cocktails at the barefoot bar too!

Perfect family vacation
I was able to rent a 3 bedroom, 3 bath unit for 6 adults and two small children. Common area was spacious and kitchen was well stocked with cooking and eating items and a large refrigerator. Housekeeping delivered a blender that we requested. Unit had large deck facing the ocean and Dukes. There are three pools on property, including middle pool with slide, as well as several hot tubs. We did not get daily cleaning services, but there is a washer/dryer in the unit and we were able to schedule cleaning and sheets with housekeeping. Easy access to pool and beach and ample parking for guests. Instructions for the washer/dryer and accessing TV's would have been helpful, but we figured it out without too much effort.

Not what is used to be....
I love the convenient beach-side location. However, there are too many guests for the available number of poolside lounge chairs. Massage at the Spa was great, but ridiculously expensive. Reservations at Dukes and nearby restaurants are hard to get...best to book far in advance of arrival. Resort is showing its age. Hallway carpets need replacement. Lots of happy little kids make it a good place to take your grandchildren, but not the place for a quiet adult get away. The vacation rental nature of the resort makes it inflexible for post-booking schedule changes. Parking is included.
