Fab resort but let down by some over selling staff
Great resort but improvements needed. For me i had a medical emergancy and was looked after brilliantly by hotel doctor and guest services who also looked after my partner, they booked resturants and checked in on us once i returned from hospital. Nelson at guest services was brilliant and all the staff in that area always put the hotel guest first and nothing was too much trouble. Now for the negative bit which lets this hotel down so much! At the buffet resturants, staff block your way to the doors trying to sell you trips etc, despite saying no to them they still do it each day! As i was still recovering from a serious illness i found this very scary and not a good look for the hotel! Other things at the hotel which will need improvement is sun unbrellas around the pool, clearly not enough for guests to get shade throughout the day! The beach is great but again not enough shade, the sellers on the beach were ok. When you said no thanku, they didnt try and pressure sell unlike the staff team at the hotel. Resturants were a mix of bad or very good. The Sensai was brilliant and service was very good! Mike coffee place was brilliant with great coffee. The mexican and route 66. The staff didnt really care about couples and focussed on all female tables! We tried to order drinks and it took 25 mins to arrive. The food was average at best in these places! The whole hotel is very clean and easy to get around if you avoid the large golf carts being driven around at speed and staff on their phones! Again not a good look for the hotel. The rooms are brilliant and large. House keeping is hit and miss! The spa was closed but they did offer treatments around the hotel, the gym is ok but could be a little bigger. My final thoughts are this hotel has so much to offer but is let down by some staff simply not caring for guests! The guest services team however are brilliant and will try and help with any concerns. They looked after me during my sudden illness and that deserves a special thanku. If the parts of the hotel which is let down by staff improves then this is a great hotel to visit and stay at. But at the moment there are so many other hotels in the area that are better

Ocean blue paradise
Another fantastic stay at Ocean Blue , this place is paradise. We upgraded to Privilege and was worth the money to be able to have breakfast in the beach restaurant each day , the rooms are also beautiful. Victor made sure we were happy each day - he’s a real superstar. The food is very good overall . Service in the specialty restaurants a bit hit and miss and the steak house food wasn’t great sadly . Service in the buffet was excellent. The beach and pools are beautiful. The only downside was people being able to smoke in the beach restaurant whilst others are eating , we had to move a few times - a designated area would be better . Oh and Pinky bites !! Can’t wait to go back ❤️

Ocean blue review
We had a wonderful time last week. Location: short 30 min ride from the airport. Average for a Pvt transfer over shuttle which can take upwards of 1 hr. Atmosphere: overall a nice place definitely not 5 star I would give it a 3.5 to 4 star. Rooms: we got an upgraded room in the privilege bldg 6 which was nice and close to the beach and pools but very far from buffet and the restaurants. Cleanliness: overall a well kept property. Value: we got what we paid for. I have been to others that charge more but all give more. Noiselevel: there was construction going on around the bldg but was minimal. Service: it was very clear to us that many of the staff didn't want to be there. They looked tired and service was a 4/10 at best. We waited almost 40 minutes at the Mexican restaurant for our entrees. Getting coffee refills was a mission at breakfast buffet and clean tables were difficult to find as they would not clean them very fast. Food: we met with chef Javier early in our booking and he help directly with halal options. He was extremely proactive and supportive for our needs and ready to help. Overall the food that the chef prepared for us was a 10/10.
