Ladies: No tank tops, shorts and beach sandals. Gentlemen: No sleeveless shirts, shorts, beach sandals. **In the Alcazar men are required to wear shirts with sleeves. The guests receive upon arrival pre-arranged invitations per room for our specialty restaurants according to the number of nights that the guest is staying.

Dec 02, 2025Great location, beach and service but outdated rooms , Premium package is a must here .
The beach here is amazing and the overall facilities are excellent . The kids enjoyed the small water park too . I feel you must get the PREMIUM package/level here as it gives you access to a beautiful beach side breakfast and lunch area. If you don’t have premium , you will primarily eat the the main buffet which is very noisy and hectic .

Overall an okay trip for us. The pool, waterpark and beach was our highlight. The food was on average, we ended up getting sick midway through our trip. We found a lot of the workers didn’t understand English so a lot of miscommunication when ordering food or drinks or simply asking for something. Everything was clean but the rooms are quite old and we had our water off or no hot water a few times and would have to call front desk and wait. They didn’t include room service into our package which would’ve been a plus.

Lovely hotel and staff
Amazing staff, couldn’t do enough for you, even though there was a massive language barrier. Had the best 50th birthday experience. Jordi and Carmelo were amazing as well as the restaurant staff. Beach was stunning and clean. Managed to book al a carte on the same day. Room was fine. Food was nice. Cannot complain

More customer service representative at check in (took over 30 minutes for one family check in). Better trained customer service representative at check in. Quality of food needs improvement. All the beef dishes were not tender. Pork was under-cooked (pron to disease spread)

Check-in Policy - Hotel requires a credit/debit card authorization or cash deposit upon check-in for incidentals; this will place a hold on your funds.
Convention Policy - Individuals attending a convention cannot book this property for their stay. If found attending a convention, guests may be subject to higher room rates upon arrival.
Hotel Spring Break Policy - The hotel will not accept any Spring Break groups. If the hotel does make an exception the following policy will be strictly applied: Students / youth are considered by the hotel as anyone between 16 and 23 years old. They will be required to sign a responsibility letter agreeing to leave the hotel if there is a disruption. Upon check in each student / youth will be required to leave cash deposit of $400 per person - no exceptions and cash only. Minimum age requirement for hotel check in is 18. Any guests under the age of 18 will require a chaperone. 1 chaperone is required per 3 students / youth under the age of 18. Minimum age for a chaperone is 28.
Legal drinking age in the DR is 18. Any guests under 18 will be given a wrist band that will not allow them to have access to alcohol at any venue and will also not allow them in the disco. All guests are required to wear wristbands. The cost for a lost wristband is $250 - no exceptions. The hotel does reserve the right to ask any student / youth to check out of the property if the hotel policies are not fulfilled without the right to a refund for the remaining nights of the reservation.
Transfer Policy - A price may display when children stay free, if your vacation includes transfer to your hotel.
