TERRIBLE- DONT GO
We had been to Punta Cana many times and stayed at various resorts. This resort was the most expensive one we paid and it actually was the worst of them all. Food was TERRIBLE! They had a very small buffet with so little choices! There wasn’t even cheese for breakfast and they even ran out of eggs to make omelettes. The food variety was consistent every day and the selection was such to offer the cheapest food. A lot of the restaurants were closed! Night entertainment was TERRIBLE. I think they had a circus show for 3/7 nights- and it was the worst one I ever saw (the only thing they did was to lift a heavy item with their mouth. I didn’t see even one single good entertainment show. When on their wifi, they blocked access to tripadvisor, so no one could leave a review!!!

Black Friday Deal - Beware of Surprise Charges
Beware of Black Friday Deal. The "Kids Stay Free" promotion will still charge you for kids added to the reservation on select dates - including dates not actually listed as "Blackout Dates" in the Terms & Conditions. Before you book, make sure you are not being charged for kids on your reservation.

Believe the negative reviews
Food is terrible except for Dominican night at buffet. Kids had fun because of pool and swim up bar. Snick lounge and ice cream place was the star. Water park is ok. Only went once out 6 day stay. Great on paper poor on execution. “Marketing” campaign is actually a high pressure sales presentation. Believe the negative reviews. Be ready for canned response following this post

No bang for your buck
-Clean -Well maintained -Housekeeping is up to par -We had fresh towels & washcloths daily -Mini bar stocked appropriately -Nice facilities -For the most part staff is courteous & helpful -Nice swimming pools -Fresh donuts & ice cream at sweet shop are a plus -Food is hit or miss, you can find good options, it did get better the last 3 days. Room service food was horrible. Now if youre a foody & going for the food, stay home -The gym facilities are nice -Water park is nice -Spa is nice -There are lots of activities for the kids. It's geared towards kids. Balloons, face painting, live shows, etc. It's a kids resort. I'd say for kids under 10. Not preteens & teens. Older kids & adults will likely need to do excursions off site (those can be booked there. They cost extra). -Arcade is ridiculous. $5 gets you 2 tokens & one game will cost 2 tokens. -White party was really nice. Food at white party was good. -It's not high end or luxury, but in my opinion price point isn't high end or luxury, so that's fine, but if looking for luxury, this isn't place for you. But at same time, you ain't really getting no bang for your buck. -Beach water rough (yellow & red flags), sand isn't white sand. If wanna go to beach, go to Destin. -If the price point is steep for you, skip this & go on a carnival cruise. -I think the resort is working through some things, ie they ran out of pool towels 1st day & they weren't replenished. It's supposed to be all inclusive alcohol, but there were times when certain bars weren't serving alcohol. Overall, the drinks were weak. -This used to be a different resort. It converted to nickelodeon resort. You can tell. It's more like a regular resort with elements of nickelodeon. Not enough nickelodeon in my opinion. -The biggest issue for me was issue of deception. They give you a personal concierge. They say the person will book things for you & assist you, but really the person's purpose is to try to get you to buy a timeshare. They offer you coupons for spa & character breakfast & offer to book space walker restaurant reservation for you, but don't tell you up front that you gotta do timeshare presentation to get the deals. Once they realize you aren't falling for it, they book nothing for you. Now, we got all of our stuff booked with no strings attached because my sister & I are pretty sharp, but I don't like the attempt at deception. -Its one & done for us. If deciding between this & Disney or cruise, I'd say choose Disney or cruise. -Would I book this for birthday or special occasion? Nope. -Now, we had a really good time & nothing major happened. It's not a horrible place. If you asked my 4yo, she'd probably rate it 10 out of 10 because she had a time. If you interested in going, go & see for yourself. You'll have fun. Just keep in mind it's for kids. So only go if this particular vacation is for the kids & you can do a different one for you at another time. And go when they have deals. Definitely don't pay full price. I got a off season deal.

They stole my daughters iPad
My family and I recently stayed at the Nickelodeon for 7 days , 11 of us in total (3rooms, 4107,4109 and 4111). This hotel falls short of expectations and we are extremely disappointed with the way Managment handled everything. This place is nothing but a money grab with horrible service. - Rude reception staff(Jeri) - First two days at the hotel, we could not find alcohol, no rum, no vodka. I had to make multiple complains until we got some rum. - water park beds are $75 usd to reserve, I’ve seen hotel staff put towels in other areas so you’d think they are taken but for a $20 tip they will do you a favour and give them to you. - The pool is exactly the same, my wife and I observed staff putting towels early in the morning to reserve cabana spots for tips. - To see characters, you have to pay $75 per person, or you can sit through a 2 hour time share and pay $76 cash to your concierge. - cabana beds in the beach are $45usd - No one in the hotel would move a finger until they see a tip in your hand, especially the bartenders in the Game lounge. - Food options are horrible at the buffet with food shortages, during breakfast while people are waiting at the omelet station, the cooks would just get up and leave while a lineup is there. - The restaurants are impossible to enter due to non reservations. Half of the time the restaurants are empty. - handful of employees made our stay more bearable, Orlando at the Fresco Bar, Fransico at the pool bar, our room cleaner and Claudio (manager). The best part of this, the bellboy who took our luggage stole my daughter’s iPad and charger, he was nice enough to leave the case. We noticed it missing half way through the airport. Nickelodeon, I want my daughter’s iPad back, that punk kid doesn’t deserve to have a job. If you try to leave a review on trip advisor, guess what, the site is blocked while you’re in the resort and on the hotel wifi. For the amount of money you will spent, look elsewhere. I know that they will write a stupid response, I don’t need it. I just want my daughter’s iPad and charger back. Thanks
