Nov 18, 2025Avoid studio apartments
Like something from faulty towers. First room didn’t have hot water in shower, broken electrical equipment in kitchen , plug sockets that don’t work, dusty dirty corridors. Thin walls between apartments . Faulty toaster No kitchen cleaning equipment . No plug for sink Old , tired and in need of refurbishing. Shower curtain too short , cracked tiles . Limited room lighting . Bed was comfy and nice gym . Bar manager was quite arrogant . Reception staff were pleasant and emphathetic but with so many issues there isn’t a lot they can do to help .

A four night stay in one of the larger apartments and rather surprised with some of the more negative reviews. The apartment was clean and tidy and well fitted out although rather sparsely furnished in the kitchen one pan only for example. The staff were very pleasant and helpful in the hotel and hotel overall bright and clean. The breakfast was if anything just adequate and lacking in the normal Melia breakfast items such as smoked salmon freshly squeezed orange juice Serrano ham . . The hotel was busy when we stayed , mostly guests on business trips I suspect and as a result often a bit of a wait for the lifts .Good value for a central location. Would stay again . The apartments are only serviced twice a week which for us was not a problem . Dinner in the main restaurant which we had once was very good and typical Spanish menu , we had the paella with Secreto Iberico ham which was a good choice .

Small and uncomfortable- but excellent location
Simply terrible apartment. The bed terrible and very small (I am short and my feet were off the edge). Bathroom was dirty with water damage and the tiles were loose with grout coming loose everywhere. I was there for 9 nights and apartment was only cleaned once!!! Nearly impossible to have a shower as it was so tiny with the shower curtain clinging to you. Wallpaper was peeling off the wall near the window. Staff were unfriendly except for housekeeping who were lovely. Only upside is the location - perfect with the train minutes away.

A huge thank you to Nicole Belliere who helped set us up in the apartments for 2 weeks. Melia White House was in a fantastic location with easy access to trains and the lovely Regent’s Park just across the street. Highly recommend! Also, enjoyed The Level lounge. Great breakfast!

Disappointed
The key to the apartment unit needs to be reset daily as the card was too sensitive. We need to queue at the reception with the other check in guess to get this done daily. The staff says it’s a normal occurrence and they can’t do anything. How is this a 4 star hotel? The windows are not cleaned hence you won’t get a clear view outside.
