Nov 23, 2025A nice little hotel desperately in need of improvement
I have been coming to this little hotel in the 16eme for perhaps 50 years long before it was taken over by the giant Spanish Melia group. It badly needs a makeover. It used to have a 3-star classification. It now markets itself as 4-star. It can do this by ticking boxes in the Tourist Ministry register. Except it really isn’t. The makeover it was given perhaps 20-30 Years ago is tired. The doors are chipped. There are no walk-in showers which in 2025 when most travellers prefer them to baths is weird. It’s winter and there are no extra blankets. Surely they could install little Expresso machines in the rooms instead of cheap packs of instant coffee. The odd picture on the walls in rooms would be nice. I appreciate that prices are pegged to a) the season and b) local real estate prices. But 300-400 Euros given its condition is excessive. The reception staff are nice and professional. To sum up despite its conversion from the cosy 3-star Alexande Hotel to a supposedly 4-star Melia it needs rescuing

Felt like a bait and switch. While the rooms have all of the same furnishings, it looks nowhere near the pictures. Rooms are in desperate need of a facelift. It is however in a great location. Walking distance to the Arc, Eiffel Tower and Champs

For 3 days stays and overall were very happy with our stay. The Hotel is within walking distance from The Eiffel Tower and Arc De Triomphe with a Metro Station close by and Uber is very useful as well. Lots of restaurants within an easy walk. The reception is very friendly and helpful 🥰👍🏻the rooms are comfortable, cleaning is nice (bed a bit firm for us) and location is spot on. We pleased with the breakfast as my son has allergies to wheat, cow’s milk and egg but they do have gluten-free bread and soya milk or almond milk and he can have some bacon and lots of many things that My Son😘 is allowing so we were very pleased with it and beautiful herbal tea and very friendly and kind staffs also there’s loads of coffee shops and bakeries nearby. Certainly recommended for a city break stay if you’re going to París. You can get a good view of the Eiffel Tower within 15-20 minutes walk. 👍🏻 We are looking forward to visiting again next holiday season.

Terrific Location
Back from our four night stay and overall very happy with our stay. The Hotel is within walking distance from The Eiffel Tower and Arc De Triomphe with a Metro Station close by as well. Lots of restaurants within an easy walk. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are comfortable (bed a bit firm for us but that’s a personal view) and location is spot on. We stayed ‘room only’ so didn’t try the breakfast but there’s loads of coffee shops and bakeries nearby. Certainly recommended for a city break stay if you’re going to París.

Bad customer service and not maintained. We had ordered lux king large rooms they refuse and we get twin small rooms. Maintenance where too bad and building had cracks which is not 4* hotel standard. Food was ok but not have more choices and the same menu every day.
