    Best all-inclusive we've been to!

I've traveled to different all-inclusive resorts every year since 1999 and this was the absolute best. The staff was amazing and catered to anything we needed. Resort was very beautiful and modern. We were celebrating our anniversary and were bumped up to adults-only side with a wonderful butler (Rafaul). There were multiple options to eat and the food was absolutely delicious. The sand was like stepping in powder. The beach absolutely stunning. The entertainment was top notch. The pools were well maintained. It couldn't have been better. A+

Amazing vacation at this amazing resort!

The property is extremely clean and well groomed. Staff are very friendly, helpful and hard working. The food is above average in all restaurants. The house red wines(cab and Merlot) need improving as it burned my throat! The beach was spotless and cleared from seaweed every day. Our ocean front room was amazing and kept very clean every day. We were in The Club section…adults only!

Second time at Majestic, won't be back.

This was our second time at the resort. It was fine but we won't be back. First off, we were not welcomed as returning guests, as others were as we saw by the banner on their door or being welcomed at check-in. The room stunk of mildew and was generally humid. After meeting another family on our last full day/night, we found they asked for a dehumidifier which really helped them with dampness and smell. They originally asked for one to be told they don't have any for guests, and then someone showed up with one minutes later. This is indicative of inconsistent communication and answers you get at the resort on multiple levels. I also wish I knew the front desk would give you change in USD if you wanted smaller bills for tips. Overall, the rooms need updating. Painting, lighting, furniture, flooring, etc. Our shower had exposed wires near the ceiling. the shower also smelled when we showered. The balcony needs to be updated and cleaned. Our hot top was not clean. For some reason, the second bathroom in our one bed suite never had hand towels no matter how many times we moved towels in there, after daily cleaning no towels reappeared. Going back to inconsistencies, the schedule often changes and things that are on the schedule and confirmed by Guest Services don't happen. Our last day there was a "Gala Dinner" at Flavors, only to show up and there was no live music and no special buffet. Food wise, it's about as good as it gets for an all-inclusive. Some meals are hit or miss but overall it's good and satisfying. The breakfast and lunch buffets are good but don't expect to be blown away. You'll find something. The family we met had a kid who was Celiac and they really catered to the family and child and had someone they worked with in food service who helped them prepare food special for the child every meal. The restaurant service was inconsistent. One meal would come out within 10 minutes and a visit to another restaurant and it took over an hour to get our entrees. This happened multiple times. We brought it up and we got an apology but then continued to wait. One meal at the Italian restaurant was so bad we talked to the "manager" who gaslit my wife and told her what happened to us did not happen and the pizza we received was correct. If you want a reservation at Kabuki (Japanese hibachi), make it right after chec-in. you'll be told, as we were at both stays, that they only have very late reservations at 9:45pm in a few days. Insist on an earlier reservation and consider tipping for a better time slot. It is a popular restaurant but there are plenty of openings when you dine there. The grounds outside the rooms are very well maintained. Every leaf is raked or taken out of the pools. So much attention is dedicated to the grounds that the rooms are sometimes neglected. The late night snack bar, "McJestic" needs more options and better food. I found the chicken tenders gross. They could use more desert snacks like ice cream on a nightly basis. Entertainment is overall decent, and sometimes pretty good. Other times it's average. I will say the entertainment offerings were better than our first stay. Queen was good. They had some good live music and casino night. the fire show could be better. The people on stilts and the random cheetah who moved around in the same motion for an hour was strange. We found the presence of the adult club guests on the family side to be annoying. Almost every day there was a rowdy, drunk group of adults who took up so much space at the Lively pool that we had to move. If you're going to party like crazy, stay on the adult side. Getting good chairs and cabanas by the pool and beach are really hard. Get up early (6:30am to 7am) and reserve your chairs/cabanas with towels/beach stuff. Towel service does not open until 8am, so get clean towels before you head up to your room and use those in the morning. Bring towel bands to secure your towels to the chairs. Be prepared that many of the chairs/cabanas need better cleaning or replacment. Overall, be prepared to ask questions as you are not given much info unless you are on the Club side. Then you get a tour and concierge (and a beach bag to use!). Bring lots of cash to tip. We tipped $1-$5 for drinks, we tipped $5 per day for cleaning staff (it helps for better service and the staff work hard), and tipped $5-$20 per meal for the four of us. If you have kids, the kids club is pretty good for younger kids (8 and under, but mostly you'll see younger kids 2-5 in the club) and consider tipping the staff towards end of your stay. Lastly, the Go Majestic excursions are really expensive. The one thing I wished they offered was simple transfer to one of the Ultramar ferries to go to Isla Mujeres, along with golf cart rental and other things like a beach club rental. The only excursions to Isla Mujeres are 6 hour boat activities with lunch on the boat or beach club, with snorkeling, etc and then 1-2 hours downtown Isla. Unless you find a private transportation service, you have to go to the bellhop outside and ask for a taxi. The taxis are generally small and our did not have a middle seatbelt for one of our kids so we declined the taxi and didn't go to Isla Mujeres. But, even trying to book things was a hassle. It's impossible to book a golf cart ahead of time to get around the island. You have to get off the ferry, deal with the golf cart hustlers and find a reputable place. Some of the reputable places are a 10-15 minute walk from the ferry terminal. Even those places have carts that don't' work and you have to go back and get another. If you want to be on the beach, you can find a spot on Playa Norte or rent a breach club cabana for a cash price in pesos.

    WOW!

Outstanding! Awesome vacations! Second time at a Majestic resort. This time at the Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres (Cancun). Quite an exceptional resort. The site is fabulous. The staff is professional, yet friendly and always smiling. You’ve got a question; they’ve got an answer. Thanks to all staff members! We truly appreciated! Our butler, Rafaël, was great, meeting our needs whenever we asked for something. As for the room, we opted for the Club Junior Suite (outdoor jacuzzi) Oceanfront adult section – truly oceanfront view. It was worth every penny. What a view! Don’t hesitate to upgrade for the club option! A must! Getting back to the room… it was extremely spacious, comfortable, quiet and well-furnished (king size bed, 2 toilets, 1 bath in the corner facing the ocean (yes!), a lounge, a large walk-in with plenty of room to store all our clothes, a very wide balcony, etc.) The resort, not too huge, allows you to easily walk around and access all the facilities the resort offers. The food is delicious, and the variety of restaurants makes the dining experience diversifying. The service was great and the waiters always paying attention to please us. My advice, take the time to talk just a few minutes with the waiters, you will discover amazing people proud of their culture. The Mexican Fiesta night with the “gigantic” buffet was memorable! I must stay that you need to go the Blossom Spa even if it is only for a one-hour hydrotherapy circuit. The spa is relaxing and inside it is spectacular. The beaches are wonderful and almost without any seaweed as it is picked up early in the morning. You can walk for hours. Plenty of chairs on the beach for relaxing, enjoying the view, reading, whatever… vacation time guys! There are two infinity pools. Awesome both of them. The one for the Adult Club section is facing the beach. What else can I say. Perfect! Finally, I need to mention we bought this trip through Transat (Air Transat) but more importantly we do business with Club Voyages FP (travel agency located in Rivière-du-Loup, Québec, Canada). Every single time, Club Voyages FP has offered exceptional and professional service. I know a lot of people book their own trip online. But keep in mind that these people are the specialists. They know the resorts. They help you figure out what is best for you according to your expectations. And no, I do not work for them; I am just a happy customer! There is so much I could say, I am sure I forgot to mention things worth mentioning. Anyhow, just book and go!

    Beautiful resort

Second time at a majestic resort and this was fantastic. The resort itself is breathtaking. It’s kept spotless and everyone works tirelessly there. We originally booked the family side as we couldn’t get into adult side and the lovely young girl at the checkin upgraded us to the club side as we were visitors. The rooms were spacious, the beach was beautiful and there were so many pools to choose from. Stretching with Oliver was relaxing, Tino the lobby bar waiter was always there with a smile ready to take your order and our butler Laura treated us wonderfully, also checking in on us and ready to help us in any way possible. The only con that I could say is that there needs to be a coffee station available before 7:00 am for us early birds otherwise it was amazing
