Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres will be located north of Cancun, 20 miles / 35kms away from the Cancun International Airport. Costa Mujeres is known for its turquoise calm waters and white sand beaches surrounded by vegetation ideally located 20 minutes away from downtown Cancun and just a couple of minutes away from the Punta Sam Ferry Terminal for a daytrip to Isla Mujeres.

Oct 22, 2026Has a frat party feel to it.
If you are looking for a quiet restful resort to recharge, this is NOT it. This is our second visit to Majestic in Cancun and third visit to a Majestic resort. Most places would recognize that kind of loyalty, Hilton brand does a great job, Majestic doesn’t care. Everyone asks if this is our first visit, they should be thanking us for our loyalty. When you sign in, you wait for a clerk to check you in, then you wait for your butler to escort you to your room, then you wait for your bags. I’d rather sign in and go to my room, far too much waiting just to check in. It’s made to feel bougie but it’s senseless. The gym is dated but adequate. The attendant at the gym imthel is really good. The pool has noise constantly with a loud deep bass beat that stays with you in the silence. The rooms carry the echo of the beat even when closed off completely. When we return we will be very specific about our room location. Weddings or events at the pool carry noise till 11pm. We had to request a sheet for our bed, once we got it in place they took it away and we had to request it again. Also there were loud weddings that occurred right outside our room. There was a wedding almost every other night. Even the weddings on the beach were so loud it vibrated our room. I had earplugs and a pillow over my head and I still heard the beach wedding and felt the bass from the speakers. I believe this was off-season for the resort so they filled availability with budget weddings to get guests in (just a hunch) As a return guest we were “offered” complimentary hydrotherapy sessions, after finishing the hydrotherapy session I realized they were free because no one would pay for them, however, we did talk with some guests that paid for the therapy but would not do it again. The rooms have an electronic do-not-disturb system that has not worked properly for any of our visits, if it worked it wouldn’t stop them from knocking on your door at night. After repeated requests for them not to knock on our door after dinner they finally complied. I highly recommend you buy a multi-lingual do-not-disturb sign from Amazon before visiting their resorts. There are signs that look inviting to the sister resort with a water park, bowling alley and nightclub but when we walked over there one day we were greeted by security and told we were not welcome. The resort was for registered guests only.

Can not say enough good things about the kids club! My kids loved it so much! Fun activities and crafts every hour!! All of the kids club girls were a favorite part of my kids trip! My kids can’t wait to be back!!!

AMAZING experience!
The kids club was absolutely amazing !! They had really fun, engaging activities and crafts for the kids every hour! My kids loved every activity and woke up every morning looking for the kids club girls!! It was truly a highlight of our trip and the crafts they made were great keepsakes from the trip!! The entertainment team was also amazing and had us laughing and engaged all week! Their activities were so fun and unique! The servers and bartenders were top notch and their hospitality was above and beyond!!! We will definitely be back again!

Very Disappointing Experience at Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres My wife and I were really looking forward to our vacation, but unfortunately, it turned into a terrible experience. We both became extremely sick after eating the same meal at the resort, and I ended up needing medical attention at the hospital. We lost a good portion of our vacation because we were too sick to enjoy anything. What disappointed us even more was the lack of support from the resort, both during our stay and afterward. After going back and forth with management, their only solution was to offer us a certificate to come back. Why would we want to spend more money returning somewhere we no longer trust the food or food preparation? We understand things can happen, but it’s how you handle them that matters. For a resort that claims to offer a luxury experience, we expected so much better. Unfortunately, after this experience and the way our concerns were handled, we would not recommend Majestic Resorts to anyone.
