    Amazing trip!

Love this resort. This was my second time staying here and I highly recommend it. Great food! Great hospitality! Great vibes! Family friendly, very relaxing. When booking be sure there’s no events nearby, when we were leaving, Reggaefest was taking place the following day so it started to get really crowded.

    Rooms not secure

TLDR **Rooms are not secure** multiple people had rooms entered. Security not helpful. The hotel itself was nice, rooms were okay. However, our first afternoon/night there someone got into our room and stole money from one of our bags. (Hindsight being that I should have asked about the safe but no one during check in or while being shown to our room mentioned the safe or instructed how to use it) We realized the money, which was cash we had brought to tip the staff during our stay, was missing the next morning. I immediately informed hotel staff and made a report with security. They searched our room and took a key swipe report. Then told us they had to investigate and update me. I did not hear from them that day and went to check in with staff several times each time being informed they were working on it (obviously being robbed makes it hard to relax). Finally that night guest services came up to me and offered a $100 resort voucher while they continued their investigation (which I turned down) I was more concerned about getting a new room where a stranger hadn’t been rummaging through my items. Especially concerned as I had a toddler with me. I had to request a new room, it was not offered to me, but they were able to accommodate. I did have to check in with guest services once more as I hadn’t been updated on the room and it was nearing my toddlers bedtime. But once I mentioned the toddler she was able to get us in our new room right after dinner. Now the investigation continued into the next day (being the third of our 5 day stay) it wasn’t until later in the afternoon that I met with the security manager and guest services. Here the security manager said they saw no suspicious key card entries and then continuously tried to gaslight us into believing we never had the cash and had simply misplaced it at home. I said I was 1000% sure it was there as i had grabbed some cash before we left the room our first day. I asked about cameras and they said they don’t have any. I left this meeting and extremely frustrated by securities attempt to gaslight. Now my sister happened to be in the pool area and overheard another group talking about their room key swipes being checked. They had been asleep in their room when someone walked in. The husband sat up and the intruder bottles but the room next to them had also been entered while a woman was in the shower. At this point I was called back to guest services to speak with the hotel manager. She informed me that the hotel had decided to reimburse us for our missing money and they paid us in cash which was good because we still wanted to tip the staff during our stay. I let the manager know how frustrated and disappointed I was in the interaction with hotel security. I then added that I had just met a couple by the pool who informed me about two other rooms that had been entered and that I didn’t appreciate being gaslight by security when they clearly have an issue with someone gaining access. Next morning ran into the same family we talked with at the pool. They informed me that they had learned of another person that had $800 stolen and the hotel had done the same and ended up reimbursing them as well. 0 stars for security. They clearly are having an access issue.

We just got back from this amazing vacation Monday night!!! It was absolutely incredible!!! The resort was beautiful, clean, excellent food and drinks, gym was great and clean!! So many positives!! Honestly what put this vacation over the top is the amazing, kind staff that worked there!!! We were greet by the kindest man named Alonzo who quickly became part of our family! He was so kind, helpful, quick to response and always made us feel relaxed and answered any questions we may have had!!! Alonzo is a great asset to this resort because he truly makes you feel comfortable and like you are part of their Iberostar family!! We also got to know the kindest, most fantastic beautiful on the inside and outside woman named Kerry!!! Kerry quickly became a dear friend to me and was soooo helpful! She was always quick to respond to any questions we had…made sure each and every moment was perfect and that we never needed for anything on this trip!! Kerry always had a beautiful smile on her face and was incredibly hard working and also made us feel like family!! Thank you also to Fitzroy who greeted us with a smile and made sure we had the best bottle of wine with our dinners in the evening!!! We also met Jerome who always had a smile on his face and answers any questions we may have about Iberostar and the resort!!! Jerome was so so kind and helpful!! When we would go to the beach Leroy, Chad and the staff at the Cabanas were so kind, hard working and helpful! It was very hot when we were there and they were very attentive to our family and never once complained about the heat! The activities staff at the Suites were also the best…making sure our son had lots of fun playing beach volleyball, soccer or swim races!! I would give this resort a 10/10!!! Honestly the staff would make it go even higher if possible! Thank you to Alonzo, Jerome, Kerry, Fitzroy, Leroy, Chad and all the others who’s names I don’t know but who made us feel like family when we were in Jamaica…we will definitely be back sooner then later! ❤️☀️✌🏻 The Murphy’s ☘️
