Not worth it
My family, friends and I, stayed at both the Selection and Joia Rose Hall property Sun 9/22-Sun 9/29. I had a room at both properties, rooms 3417 (selection) and 5327(Joia). Although I booked the room at Joia until 9/29, I left on 9/28 leaving my roommate to return home. I stayed at the Selection side with my husband and children and we were not impressed. The property truly needs to be shut down until the renovation is completed. I was very concerned about the mold and mildew, not to mention the leaking ceilings. My daughter as well as myself were heavily congested and I knew it was because of mold. The quality of the food was subpar. The jerk chicken, hamburgers, and fries were my family's go-to meals. Breakfast was good. Your staff were very nice and accommodating. The Selection Suites Steakhouse was disappointing. You can see the comparison of the lobster tails from the selection suites vs Joia as shown in the pictures. I travel quite frequently and I am an agent, I know quality, but this is not it. I really wanted to love the property overall and host a family reunion there. The Joia property is the only suitable area but children are not allowed. The Selection Suites is not worth risking my family's health.

MEH !!
Just got back a week ago. This hotel has 3 options, The Grand, The Suites, and The Waves, with The Grand being the top tier. We stayed at the Suites. The staff was generally friendly, but I would advise to pls tip, as tips are much needed in Jamaica. The Suites buffet hall was under renovation, so Suites residents had to go to the Wave buffet, which was not bad. The breakfast and lunch buffet were generally good, but nothing to brag about. The specialty restaurants were as follows: - Steak & Lobster: 8/10 - prime rib was grt - Asian: 7/10 - Italian - 1/10 - much of what was on the menu, they did not have, waiter was rude and wait was too long to get our food. We eventually left and went to the buffet. - Wave Buffet: Jamaican Night is not to be missed. If we had to do it again, we would stay at the Wave resort. More kid friendly, more amenities, and better food options at the buffet. Plus a better crowd. The only great thing about the Suites is the Infinity pool and the pool staff. "Nuff Respect !!

One of our best vacations🇯🇲🌴
This was our first time in Jamaica. My daughter and I loved it. Definitely planning to return. This resort is beautiful. The staff are amazing!! The entertainment staff did a Great job, Ruth, Mr Nice ,Quban ,MO MO work so hard. Those are the names I remember, but, they all were so amazing. The food was delishish, weather you ate at the buffet or the specialty restaurants 😋 If you like to use a gym on vacation this gym is really good, they do classes, from spin class. My daughter loves boxing, and Momo did a class with her. I really can't say anything negative. Jamaicans really are wonderful people, super friendly, caring always asking if they can do anything for you. So glad we chose the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites. Already planning on coming back next year❤🇯🇲🌴🥥💛🖤💚 We came back with beautiful memories 💚🖤💛

Another Great Experience
We started out our vacation at Waves but had to upgrade as Suites was home. We were greeted by the Front Desk Agent with a warm and welcoming smile, so sorry I forgot her name; we were also assisted by a gentleman regarding the upgrade, he dealt with us with us with such grace. When we got to our room they had provided us with Welcome Back and Happy Birthday banners, such a great touch. The room was comfy and very clean. The staff members were exceptional as we were greeted by every staff whenever we walked along the corridors, very professional and friendly. There were however a few staff who definitely stood out to us, Omray from the Italian Restaurant, Javaugh and Jodi-Ann from buffet breakfast, Doreen from the lobby bar and Cora from the Front Desk ( such a sweet lady). Special special shout out to Omray, this gentleman is the definition of going above and beyond, he was truly exceptional. We had a bit of an issue at the Italian restaurant but Omray did his very best to save the night. We can’t wait to return and I hope Omray will still be with the company
