Check-in Policy - Hotel requires a credit/debit card authorization or cash deposit upon check-in for incidentals; this will place a hold on your funds.
Convention Policy - Individuals attending a convention cannot book this property for their stay. If found attending a convention, guests may be subject to higher room rates upon arrival.
Hotel Spring Break Policy - While this hotel strongly discourages spring breakers, it cannot guarantee a spring-break-free environment.

STUDENT/YOUTH GROUPS POLICY - In order to maintain a family oriented environment, the resort will be implementing a policy directed at student/youth groups. Students/youth are considered by the hotel as any person between 16 and 23 years of age. In addition to the Spring Break Policy instituted for all bookings traveling in the months of March and April, Groups shall adhere to the following conditions:
- All student/youth groups must be pre-approved and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
- Upon check-in, each group will be required to make a refundable cash deposit of USD $200.00 per room for any charges or damages that might be incurred during the stay.
- In the event that any member(s) from the group engage in inappropriate behavior disrespecting Hotel staff and/or other guests or causing physical damages to the facilities, the hotel management reserves the right to expel the entire group
without reimbursement or refund of the remaining nights.
SPRING BREAK POLICY- Iberostar Hotels & Resorts is a family oriented environment and thus has implemented the following policy for Spring Breakers reservations. The valid period is March 1st, 2020 to April 30th, 2020. Spring Breakers are defined as Students/youth between 16 and 23 years of age.
- One parent or chaperone at least 25 years of age will be required per room for check-in. Adults accompanying are responsible for the students’ behavior.
- In the event that any guest(s) engage in inappropriate behavior disrespecting Hotel staff and/or other guests or causing physical damages to the facilities, the Hotel Management reserves the right to expel the guest(s) without reimbursement or refund of the remaining nights.

Terrible stay
I stayed at Iberostar Cancún and had a bad experience from day one. There was a hurricane, and guests had to walk to their rooms in the pouring rain because the staff refused to use the golf carts to transport us. Our room was at the far end of the resort, about a five-minute walk from the main building. We were also told we would have access to a private pool, but that wasn't the case. Instead, we only had a view of the private pool and were not allowed to use it. The food at the resort was disappointing—I'd rate it 5/10, and that’s being generous. The food was bland, unseasoned, and stale. The only good meal we had was from the food truck on the beach. Since our room was so far away, we wanted to use the golf cart service at times, but the employees would just drive past us, though they were seen giving rides to other guests. While the view from the hotel was beautiful, there weren't many other positive aspects to our stay. The hotel staff was decent but seemed to be nicer to certain guests.

Iberostar is ZeroStar
Iberostar is ZeroStar If you are expecting luxury, five stars and or resort experience find another property. Engaging, consistency, top notch F&B,upgraded environment and service ALL missed during my experience. From the moment of check in to the duration of our stay it was just missing the mark. Even during the Tropical Storm Helene lack of communication to all guests and no engagement of reassuring guests safety and comfort. The property needs to be reassess on its rating scale as they fell short of even making a 1 star level. Even management couldn’t save my experience not checking in with my comments submitted on my second day of my five day stay. Management tried to recover my experience the second day late morning by the pool as I told them I leave tomorrow and you’re late to recover my stay. Stay clear and far away from this experience as your stomach will turn a few times with this experience literally.

Great service , had a private chef it was amazing! Top shelf.. Angel Torroja did an amazing service. Everything was good and flavorful, so stuffed I could not eat another bite… thank you will definitely try again. Thank you Iberostar for a great experience

Second time at Iberostar
This is our second time at this hotel! We LOVE it! This time we came with a group of 15. The hotel had something for everyone. We rented 2 cabanas and Elias was an amazing server. David down at the swim up bar was great as well. Everyone in our group said they would be back. With Hurricane Helene coming the entire staff was super sweet and kind. Although we were due for a check out we still had reigns of the entire hotel because of the weather. The bell boys were able to secure us a van to go to the airport since the roads were underwater and our pre-arranged transportation couldn’t make it. This is one of the smaller resorts walking wise which also made it better because with such a big group it was easy to find everyone and meet up together. None of us brought children however they had a kids area where they seemed to have many activities for the kids. All of the workers are great. Barely any seaweed on the beach either for this time of year. Norma at the guest services was also super helpful. We can’t wait to go back.

Excellent service of Miguel
Excellent service, Miguel Rumbo Bustos at buffet table have the best excellenct service i ever had i am.impressed and he is good worling and very friendly. His smile makes us feel welcomed . Staff is friendly, good are great, overall a good experience
