  Fantastic family stay

  Just back having spent a lovely week at the hotel with our 9 year old daughter. First impression was lovely having arrived later and being provided with welcome drinks and quick check in. We were shown to our room and helped with cases by a lovely member of staff. Staff were incredible from reception, restaurant, cleaners and bar staff. We couldn't fault any of them, all cheery and happy to help with anything. We had a basic room (102) with a garden terrace and whilst it was nothing super fancy, I'm pretty sure we were the only ones on the floor as we didn't hear a thing at night or another person in the corridor the full week. There were no rooms opposite us either so we had a really peaceful sleep with no disturbance at all .. something we've never experienced in a hotel before. Only thing we didn't like about the room was the toilet door....it wasn't a solid door (made up of slats with gaps) so you can hear everything lol...pretty sure nobody needs to hear anyone in the bathroom so not sure about that design. Also ..the hairdryer was useless...far too short a cord and you basically had to pull against it constantly to stretch it whilst also pressing the button constantly..it was like a workout. Terrible design but lesson learnt and will bring my own hairdryer next time. Only other thing to improve would be a little drying line to hang wet swimsuits etc on balcony. However I'd still choose this room due to the peacefulness over others...these are only small things that could improve the room but otherwise it was fab. The hotel pool was beautiful, the plants, waterfall and general upkeep of the area was spot on. Absolutely loved the singers and musicians who played at breakfast, around the pool and in the bars at night. The hotel just feels classy and sophisticated. You don't feel like you're in a busy hotel at all, it's so relaxing, serene and just feels high quality. Breakfast was stunning, every choice of breakfast you could wish for accompanied by live music and nothing like the usual chaos we've previously experienced at other all inclusive hotels. I'm so glad they offer the bed and breakfast option to give flexibility to those who don't wish to go half board or all inclusive as we like to eat out locally but I can imagine the experience at lunch and dinner in the hotel is just as nice as breakfast is. Kids - nothing really going on for kids at the pool the week we were there. There is a kids club but my daughter only went for half an hour as she was the only one in it. There was table tennis and foosball etc but to be honest my daughter was quite happy in the beautiful pool with her floaty but appreciate some other kids might get bored. I think she was so chilled too she was just happy in the beautiful surroundings. Bars - there are so many beautiful places to sit in this hotel with hammocks and comfortable seats to the beautiful sunset bar and sunsets that put Ibiza to shame. Loved our cocktails during the sunset. Again the staff were just lovely. Gym - such a beautiful location for the gym looking out to the sea or watching the sunset as you work out. Again...usually the gym hotels are in basic boring rooms but this gym has been well thought out and the design and location makes you want to go more often. It was a big factor in us choosing this hotel as could see the quality of it. Location - brilliant location close to bars, restaurants and Siam Park. Think it cost 6 euros in a taxi to Siam which was a brilliant day out. Las Rocas - we also went to the beach club in front of the hotel and had a fab day there with beautiful food. Overall, the staff are what makes this hotel. The hotel is gorgeous and well laid out but it would mean nothing without good, happy, hardworking staff who want to help and improve your holiday....they should all have a pay rise! We would definitely book this hotel again and already looked for next year. Hopefully be back soon.

  High quality resort/hotel

  A high quality and well maintained hotel/ resort in a very nice part of Costa Adeje, Tenerife. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. We received a warm welcome upon arrival and were made to feel special at all times during our stay. We had booked a double room with a Seaview. This was a superb room well maintained and kept clean. There was a minibar/ fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and a safe. The bathroom was well equipped with a large walk-in shower. There was a decent sized balcony that looked out over the pool area and provided a great Seaview, ideally located to se some superb sunsets. There are a number of bars and restaurants contained within the hotel/resort. These catered for varied tastes and atmospheres. There Is a games room, spa and gym along with a good size pool. Basically there is something for everyone and if you wish you could easily spend the whole holiday without leaving the resort/ hotel However, we booked on a B&B basis which gave us the freedom to explore the bars and restaurants outside the hotel/resort. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of food to suit all tastes. There was seating over a large area so that it was never crowded. It is a buffet style breakfast with waiter support providing tea, coffee, etc. The food was of high quality and freshly cooked The only two down sides that we had ( and these were minor) some of the restaurants were closed for a couple of nights. It didn't affect us as we were quite happy to go outside the resort/hotel for evening meals. But it would have been nice to have an option. Thr hotel/resort has put a lot of effort into accessibility for people with mobility issues - but there are still some areas that are difficult to get to for people with mobility issues and impossible to access for wheelchair users ( the Sunset Bar, Sugar Reef bar and the games room are 3 aeas in particular that have poor access) Overall though we found it a great hotel/ resort and have already booked a further visit early next year

  Chilled Week

  Location is great, atmosphere is very chilled, a lot of live musicians playing but probably not lovely enough for me, sunset bar is lovely cocktails are nice, buffet was nice but not much Choice, preferred ala carte restaurants, room was nice but noisy untill 11pm with live singers. Overall nice hotel if I came back I would do B&B instead of All Inclusive

  Disappointed but good location and nice pool garden layout

  Stayed in Room 314 bathroom nice and load to pool And breakfast restaurant however the bathroom had extremely bad mold and damp clearly a poor ventilation issue and in urgent need of refurbishing, coffe machines always breaking down at breakfast, floor around the pool needs attention for heavily worn brick and mortar missing and paint around waterfall damaged and need repaint over general maintenance team not keeping up with issues and hotel needs refurbishment in the areas mentioned. Great location and nice garden layout and good size pool so it’s a shame the money isn’t being spent on sorting these obvious issues out with some haste!

  Hyatt Ziva Jardin Tropical, Tenerife (revised review)

  This is a revision of my previous post Just a little bit of context prior to this review. My wife has had a rough year health-wise including a life altering illness, so It was decided that we would go to Tenerife while it was still feasible. We had originally arranged to go to Villa Cortes with TUI, however the debacle that was the National Air Traffic chaos scuppered that, and with the complete lack of communication to passengers over the situation with decided to use Jet2 at a later date. I have split the review into 2 parts, a) being the original review and b) the follow up. a) Rating 4* Arrived 15.02 on 6th October 2026 3 people in front of us (1 couple, 1 single) as we entered reception, a man guided us to a sofa to wait our turn. Previous people received welcome glass of orange or prosecco, we didn't! Previous people sorted including baggage taken to their rooms we waited, Another couple came in an was attended to straight away. Went up to reception desk and asked why we were not being looked after, the lady apologised, said his to collect out luggage and show us our room. A couple came in on spec to book a room was looked after immediately and with their luggage taken to their room while we still waited. Eventually taken to our room Small but adequate, however the balcony overlooked a parking lot and the service road and views straight into rooms in another hotel. How to feel unwelcome. b) After the review was posted we received a phone call from Guest experience and was invited to have a conversation with them, which we did. It was explained that basically we were in the cheapest rooms and what you get is a view of the service road or a normal road. They did concede that the initial reception was not ideal and offered us a free drink in the bar, that was okay I was just trying to point out that the initial reception process was not ideal. I must add that the resort staff are very good and could not be faulted, that comment also applies to the food that we had for breakfast, varied good and plentiful. (We were just b&b) Now the interesting part:- for those in the UK the room is a similar size to Premier Inn rooms. To access the rooms you have to pass through a corridor which appears to have been designed to amplify sounds so that normal speech sounds like shouting, and doors shutting are a very loud slamming noise. On the evening of the 9th Oct. we had been out for a meal and decided to have our complimentary drink at the bar. We went to the bar and the bar asked if the drinks were to take to our room or if we were sitting at a table. We said at a table so he said someone would be over to take our order, there was 4 tables occupied 2 of which had drinks, our table and a couple who came after us. After waiting 10 minutes we gave up and went to our room, we thought we would watch some TV. Switched the TV on using the remote punched in a number for BBC1 which was kindly listed on a TV channel guide in the room, number wrong on guide, pressed the up button on the remote, inoperable! We found the channel by pressing different numbers, turned out the guide was 2 channels out. After all that the signal was abysmal rendering the TV unwatchable. So to bed, went to sleep okay only to be woken up by noisy people and slamming doors. Eventually went back to sleep, just to be woken up at 4.00am by the people nextdoor in room 628 taking part in the bedroom Olympics where the lady eeks as loud as she can while they are destruction testing the bed. The only blessing was that we did not have the early morning delivery lorries today. It seems that despite paying a reasonable sum of money for a standard double room in a 4* hotel, what you get is the availability of the 4* facilities in a 2* room in a 1* position within the hotel. According to Jet2 the hotel is part of their luxe designation with Seafront location with stunning views!!!!!
