It is basically a frat house at night. There are not enough facilities or proper management to warrant the price of this establishment. Very disappointing for a supposed high end establishment . I would.strongly recommend spending your money elsewhere.

Excellent Customer Service. Soft clean Beach. Great ocean for swimming. All restaurants are fantastic. Pool activities and Entertainment were so fun. Spa service was fantastic. Highly recommend upgrading to the club level package. Would visit again.

Wonderful stay
This was our first time at an adults only resort and we travelled with another couple. We were impressed with the hotel. The rooms were spacious and modern. We upgraded to an ocean view and were not disappointed. We loved that the resort was small and the beach, rooms and restaurants were all in close proximity. The beach was the nicest in the area- crystal clear water and large sandy beach. I really appreciates no sand bags to ruin the view like neighbouring resorts had. If you want shade on the beach you have to be there early. There were days when staff were monitoring and if someone was gone for more than 40 minutes staff would remove their items to clear the seats for others to prevent people from claiming the chairs first thing and then not returning until noon. I appreciated this resort didn’t have towel cards or limits do you could just replace towels as needed. I also lived there weed no plastic wrist bands required- they are a bother. If you didn’t want to use your room card there was an option to purchase beaded bracelets with a chip in it to open your room door instead. The restaurants had good quality food that was very tasty. We ate at all 3 restaurants and enjoyed the Italian the most. The buffet was good for breakfast. When we tried it for supper I found the food was lukewarm and not as hot as I would have liked. Variety at the buffet was small and there tended to be the same items. The coffee shop made drinks to order and had the best gelato. We did have a couple of issues in the room but staff arrived quickly and the issues were addressed right away. The best part of the stay was definitely the staff. Every staff member was so polite and always responded with “it’s my pleasure”. Special shout out to Carlos the waiter on the beach- he was always asking if we needed anything and offering bottled water. We ate early risers and appreciated that the outdoor shows needed by 20 pm so we could sleep. There was construction going on next door during the day but that is nothing to do with the Hyatt. We will definitely be returning!

We chose this resort for our honeymoon as we wanted an adult only that was romantic and quiet. It definitely fulfilled those requirements. Our room was beautiful and the swim out is a nice addition. However the pool was so cold we didn’t see anyone in it for the entirety of our trip so take that into consideration for your booking. For us this was a massive waste of money. We also didn’t receive any perks for our honeymoon which I thought was odd. Most resorts offered us upgrades or packages for honeymoon. They gave us a discount on a room upgrade (30%) but that was all. The spa, romantic dinner, cabanas and other discounts were offered but only by the extremely pushy vacation club representative. Those disappeared when we refused to attend a meeting offsite. He even hung up on my husband when we said we weren’t interested as we have small children and won’t be able to utilize it. There are 4 main restaurants. The buffet is good. Pretty standard for a buffet. We never ate there for lunch but breakfast was always good and we often went for extra dessert after dinner. Coffee shop is nice but busy in the morning. The Italian restaurant was closed which was a big deal. We had to wait almost 2 hours for dinner 2 of our nights because you can only make reservations at one restaurant. The bartenders kept us entertained but it made for a long night. Lunch at Lola beach and the snack bar was amazing. Watch out for the coatis stealing your food. One grabbed my nachos right off my plate lol. The beach is gorgeous and the ocean was warmer than any of the pools by far so we enjoyed being in the water and spent most of our time on the beach. My husband used the gym a few times and raved about how nice it was and well maintained. Good variety of equipment and the attendant was great. Overall we enjoyed our experience and made the most of it but we won’t be back as it just wasn’t worth it for us. Left us a little disappointed with our choice to be honest. No staff or any part of the trip really stood out to us as amazing just ok.

Although our small group enjoyed our stay, it is unlikely we will return anytime soon. The good: staff were amazing, grounds were beautiful, size of resort was perfect, most of the food was great, rooms were fantastic and clean. The not so good: Coati poop all over balconies every morning which was swept onto the roof that extends beyond the balconies, which would land into the swim out rooms pool below, or accumulate on the roof. Coati food aggression at the outdoor restaurant. Poolside and beach servers are understaffed. Inconsistent food quality with specific dishes (perhaps a result of understaffing?). Not nearly enough beach chairs for those of us that were not "club level". Dining was challenging as there weren't as many restaurants as implied, unless you went to the buffet. Again, we enjoyed our stay and had fun, however we are unlikely to return anytime soon. Hopefully they iron out some things, as the resort itself, and the beach were lovely.
