    Xcaret was Xcellent!

Our 40th Anniversary spring trip to Hotel Xcaret was a delightful experience! It is a beautiful and fascinating location featuring numerous pools, water slides, an Octopus-themed children’s pool, numerous restaurants offering every food imaginable and lovely suites with incredible views of the Gulf of Mexico. We had two “butlers” assigned to us, Magaly Garcia and Katya Silva, who were so helpful to us as our guides and hosts continuously during our stay. They made us feel so welcome and “at home”! They were the best representatives for the hotel! We also enjoyed three of the Xcaret theme parks that were terrific and each so different. My wife and our son’s family highly recommend a stay at Hotel Xcaret- Mexico!

    Best Birthday Gift Ever

I had an amazing experience at the Xcarata resort for my 40th birthday which was a birthday gift from my girlfriend! The luxury hotel, pleasant moments, great food, excellent room, and service all contributed to making our stay memorable. Jan and Rolande, our great butlers, played a significant role in ensuring a smooth check-in, check-out, and reservation process, as well as providing helpful information throughout our stay. We had such a positive experience and would recommend the resort to others.

    Amazing Spring Break

This resort was simply amazing. We went for 6 nights during our kids' Spring Break the week of Easter. Although the hotel was sold out, the resort itself never felt crowded or uncomfortable. I think this is mostly to do with the fact that people leave to enjoy the various Xcaret Parks during the day. The resort is also enormous and people do spread out. We went to Xel-Ha (about a 40 minute shuttle), Xplor and Xenses. All 3 parks were great, but my family (two adults and two teens) ended up liking Xenses the best. The Xensatorium is not to be missed and the sludgery was a lot of fun. Xplor was also great with the station-to-station zip lining and the amphibious vehicles were fun to drive. At Xel-Ha we did zip-lining into the water, snorkling, jumped off a cliff wall and swam in a cave. In short, you will not be bored at any of the parks - lots of fun. Xel-Ha and Xplor also included food and the buffets were delicious and not overly croweded when we went, but at the end of the day, Xel-Ha's food lines got really long. The shuttles to Xplor and Xenses were constantly running and we never had to wait more than a few minutes. At the resort itself, we found all of the restaurants to have good food - we liked Las Cuevas and Xin-Gao the best. We booked a fusion table at Xin-Gao before our trip, which was helpful. Mercado and La Trajinera were both good for breakfast. Again, despite the hotel being fully booked, the only restaurant we had to wait at was Las Cuevas, which does not offer reservations, we went twice and I think we had to wait a half hour each time at around 7-8 o'clock. Something else we really enjoyed about the resorts were the kayaking (you need a reservation, but they are available) and putting on life jackets and swimming through the deeper areas of the rivers - you get to secluded areas of the resort, which was really cool. There were a few things that could be improved at the resort. The main pool is beautiful, but one day I put our personal items on chairs and went back to my room to get a bag and came back 15 minutes later to hear my wife get a "warning" from a pool attendant that you are not allowed to leave your chairs for more than a half hour at a time (even if you were to leave to say kayak for a half hour). Meanwhile, when you looked around, there were barely anyone sitting at their chairs, but occasionally I did see others get a similar warning, so I guess they do try to enforce it. Other guests were clearly leaving their stuff for extended periods of time, so the warnings did appear inconsistent. It was just frustrating to get warned without anyone stating this is a rule at any point before that. Another strange thing the resort does is they make you state and spell your name and tell them your room number at every restaurant. And we are all wearing the resort bands, so I would think they could just scan it to get your info before dining. At the buffets, they tell to you wait a few minutes off to the side (never more than 5 minutes for us) even though there were plenty of tables available - just a little strange. But for me, these details were very minor issues. The resort is stunning, the staff was helpful and very friendly. We did not have the long check-in issues that others seemed to have but we did have to wait until the stated 3 PM check in time to get our room. If you are looking for vacation that can be both relaxing and active, this is definitely your place. Looking forward to going back again!

    A dream 💜

Xcaret Mexico was a dream! The resort was incredibly beautiful. During our 6 night stay Alejandro Barrera and Rebeca Arvizu took such wonderful care of us. They were available for any questions we had and were so helpful with recommendations for activities and dining. They even surprised me with a late birthday treat and bottle of wine! We were there for our friend’s wedding. The wedding was absolutely PERFECT! Everyone at the resort made her wedding the most memorable time! We can’t wait to go back. It truly was an amazing stay.
