Incredible staff & view on the beach!
I’m Diamond in HHonors so obviously I travel and stay at Hilton hotels a lot. I received my benefit of a room upgrade when I checked in. Always a nice surprise. This is a beautiful hotel with an incredible view! I had a few issues with my room but those were taken care of within 24 hours. Watching the whales jumping every day was such a treat! The hotel blocks the sun from the pool until 1pm afternoon but you can grab a sunny spot on the beach much earlier. What really makes this place special is the staff. Juan & Daniel at the beach provide amazing service!! They are tireless and and always smiling. They took great care of me. I ate lunch at Cocomar the seafood restaurant every day. The salmon and shrimp cocktail was delicious, Mario was my waiter daily & was super attentive. I really liked the Italian restaurant and the food was great. The ceaser salad clearly had a homemade dressing, fresh baked bread, and the risotto was rich and yummy. Maribel at the door is sweet and efficient and Sergio my waiter was super busy with big tables but took time to make sure I had everything I needed. I really enjoyed myself. A couple of wishes, the lighting in the bathroom in my room was awful so ladies bring a lighted travel mirror. I wish yoga would have been offered. They allow guests to ‘save’ machines in the gym so when you get there the place is empty but you can’t work out because the machines are being saved while folks go eat breakfast—ridiculous!! All in all I’ll definitely go back!

Beyond Expectations!
As someone who hasn’t been to an all inclusive resort in about 10 years this place was BEYOND expectations! The staff was amazing. The views are gorgeous. There were opportunities for whale, stingray and dolphin watching just from the hotel room/lobby/pool/beach! The food was also way above expectations, everything was so yummy! We had great experiences with all of the staff but a few definitely stood out! From Ana and her team (Fidel and David) at Seasalt helping us with our Spanish to Omar/Mar and their team at Sunan making sure our friends bdays were so memorable. Special shoutout to Jorge, Esperanza, David, Isela, Luz, Ana and Ever at the Vela breakfast buffet as well as Bibi, Israel and Blanca in the recreation department! We will definitely be back to visit the friends we made within the staff soon!!

Baffling Ranking
We booked a couple of days at the Hilton PV during a month long stay in the area. It was our first time staying at an all inclusive resort but between reviews, an Amex offer, Hilton Gold status through Amex we thought we made a good decision. In sum, we were beyond disappointed in our choice. I'll start with the good, the service and people are outstanding. Brayam, Christian and many other employees are constantly doing their best to keep customers happy. The views from the resort are breathtaking and the pool area is lively and fun. Breakfasts are also well done with fresh omelet and taco options. On the negative side, the rooms and many parts of the resort are showing their age and/or poorly maintained. Our room had some sort of refresh with floors, walls etc. but the quality of those upgrades was poor. The climate controls in the room were ancient and indecipherable making it impossible to adjust room temps. Simple things like pilled sheets were things we asked to get corrected but couldn't. The balcony and view from the room were outstanding. The pool also had many missing tiles and it seemed like the pool heater was inoperable. The bar and beverage side of the house were very good. Many good bartenders and quality was good. On the food side, other than breakfast, quality and/or taste was dreadful. We ordered pizza at the Italian restaurant. Half an hour later it comes out, my wife takes a bit and the pizza is stone cold and had obviously been sitting waiting. My wife mentions it and the server takes the pizza away. It comes back a few minutes later...they took the old pizza, bite and all, threw it back in the pizza oven and gave back to us, burnt! The entrees then came very quickly with hot plates and cold food which had clearly been prepared in advance. The next night we ate at the Asian restaurant. I had pad Thai which was a lump of noodles and tasted like no pad Thai I'd ever had. We mentioned all this to the front desk and they said that they'd put it in our record. For nearly $600 per night I expected a lot better. I understand they have many guests to serve but so do other large resorts and cruise ships. They've got a great staff but this resort needs some serious attention on the maintenance and facility upgrade side and the food program needs a visit from Gordon Ramsey or similar! I'm writing this review from the Marriott. My advice to anyone reading this is save yourself some money and book at the Marriott. They have an amazing resort and rooms, more sunshine, great restaurants onsite and many within walking distance and everything else you think you'll be getting at the Hilton. Hilton please look at this property and Amex you may want to think twice about recommending this property.

Staff is what makes it better!
Jorge and chef Ramon in the breakfast buffet are fabulous!! We were bummed by the lack of authentic Mexican food and tacos, but they'll whip up whatever you like. Biggest complaint is the lack of sun in the pools until later in the afternoon. At least they have yhr sky bar!
