Nov 15, 2025Amazing staff that deserves a bonus!
This was our 10th year staying at this hotel. The hotel was nice but far from excellent. The rooms are enormous, but the air conditioner has problems. It was the breakfast staff that makes the stay phenomenal. Marcos the breakfast chef makes the best omelets ever and always greets us with a hug or heartfelt greeting. Then we have Mercado, Izzy, Norma, Esmerelda and Francisca who makes the stay exceptional. Also, Abraham the doorman has greeted us at the door with continuous generosity and familiarity every time we visit. Some other staff members were good, but the ones listed made us feel like family and thats why we come back. There are things the hotel can do better, like keeping the bars open later, having hot water everyday and refilling the minibar. This hotel is nice, but could be better. All the specialty bars closed early and it was hard to upgrade our room to a higher floor. This will be our last trip for a while because the hotel left a lot to be desired. We went for the staff most of all and will miss them dearly. We started with Grand Fiesta American and Hilton just doesn’t do it justice.

Dinner at Auma steakhouse was delicious. Rodrigo was our waiter and made sure we were well cared for. He was able to recommend unique drinks and help our group enjoy the vast array of desserts. Come visit!

Great entertainment and food with gorgeous views
We recently spent 5 nights here celebrating our 35th anniversary. The property offers a lot to like. Our King Master Suite was roomy, had amazing views, and we appreciated having two bathrooms. We paid for Enclave, the best part of which was having concierge Celeste make all our dinner and cabana reservations a few days ahead of arrival. Gonzalo was gracious at breakfast there, which we appreciated for the quiet atmosphere. A couple restaurants offered “specials” for Enclave guests (though the one we accepted we never actually received). One wish for Enclave is for there to be a way to communicate, say by text, with the concierge without having to physically go up there. The restaurants are all very good. I had thought they were all open air (La Luce, Maxal and Sunan are not - and maybe not the sushi place). I had dreaded mosquitos since so many reviews complained about them, but we had none in early November. Food was good, service great (if a little rushed sometimes). Thanks to Exuel, Donovanne, Rodrigo, America, Norma, Medardo, Michelle, Ian, and Carlos — and anyone whose name we missed. Eat dinner at 7 so you don’t miss the evening entertainment which was really a lot of fun. Daytime entertainment at the pool was offered each hour. We didn’t partake except for making guacamole with Hugo and Saul. Fun! Cabana service was excellent thanks to Omar, Melquiades, Eduardo and especially Juan. Sahori, the pool concierge, was sweet. Unfortunately towels ran out sometimes and weren’t available for an hour or more; that shouldn’t happen. The beach area is great. Very warm water and decent snorkeling (though you have to bring your own equipment — wish they had some on hand). We enjoyed a little kayaking too, though you’re pretty limited by time and how far you can go. Town is not walkable but is an easy uber ride away. I booked airport transfers directly with Grayline and they worked well.

Service team
Our trip was amazing to puerto Vallarta! Especially due to the amazing service and entertainment! Our favorite servers were Anna, and the older gentleman that was working evenings in the buffet! So kind and always giving top teir service as well as our new friend Fidel! I truly fell in love with FIDEL! He is one of the brightest personalities and sweetest souls I’ve met in life and we enjoyed his presence so so much! The tacos in the sea salt restaurant were amazing but Fidel kept us coming back! His smile and kindness will be in my heart forever! For entertainment we had way too much with Hugo, Saul and inuk!! They know how to bring the energy and put everyone around them in a good mood!

Hilton Riviera was the best choice for our stay in Puerto Vallarta
We were greeted by an amazing staff, great food, great atmosphere and having a wonderful location to view the Bay and the Arches. Thank you for having us and ensuring ir was a pleasant stay. We congratulate Bianca Parra and Evelia Ibarra from Azulinda cafe for their willingness to go above and beyond in providing us with the best grab and go goodies we could have asked for. Cookies and croissants were the best. The food was amazing everywhere we had Lunch and Dinner, especially the ceviches, they were the best! Thank you!
