Apparently exotic, it is a Catalan term without translation that means to hit abruptly against something. Aürt is a space where professionals and diners coexist and interact. Paid an extortionate amount (£910 per night for 3 people) for an interconnecting room. Rooms ok but not plush. Cleaned everyday but not given fresh hand towels after day 1. No minibar. No room service after midnight (even with a weekend of all night festival going on right next to hotel). Vending machine in reception poorly stocked and coffee station broken. Pool area is a complete scam - paid £380 euros to secure a bed as can’t use pool at will. Did manage to access some beds on other days but saw multiple people waiting long periods to get beds. Drinks service on bar area by pool very slow 20+ mins to be served on 2 occasions). Serve at pool beds sporadic as depended where bed was situated as to whether they could see you frantically waving for attention. Was priced as a luxury hotel but very definitely wasn’t. Decor lovely but facilities and service lacking I’m afraid.

Do not pay a deposit, you will not get this back. £260 gone, apparently the money has been sent... two months later no refund. back and forth phone calls in Spanish, nightmare, don bother. attitude on the phone, average stay. pick another hotel.

We were very disappointed. We paid way too much. Apparently our room was supposed to have a coffee machine, but it didn’t. As a celiac, I was did not have many food options. The location is also disappointing as it’s a long way to get into the historic part of town. I will say the staff was very kind and nice.

May 08, 2025Nice hotel. Not as nice room.
All the staff members were friendly and very helpful. It was a 5-minute walk to a train and the beach was about the same. The pool area was awesome, although it was a bit too cool to take full advantage of everything it had to offer.l while we were there. All in all, the hotel itself was worth coming back to. However, the room, while spacious and with a great view, had some issues. The air condition was pretty much non-existence. I mean, there was air conditioning …if you stood on a chair and put your hand within six inches of the vent, but the room would barely cool down. The shower leaked all over the floor a couple times to the point of having to use all the towels in the room to mop it up. Last, but definitely not least, there was a weird door in the room that wasn’t locked or securely closed all the way. All day and all night, noises of what appeared to be the toilets of the who-knows-how-many rooms above us flushing would send water down the pipes 5-feet from our bed. Not great.

May 07, 2025A very practical hotel right on the Barcelona beachfront.
This hotel is a very practical and safe hotel right on the Barcelona seafront. My room was very large and good value for the price. Staff are very helpful. The lifts are rather quirky, you type in your destination floor and then the computer console tells you what lift to get for your destination floor. Breakfast was good, if a little chaotic. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.
