    Fabulous experirnce

What a fabulous week! I was a bit dubious after reading some reviews on the FB group however, those reviews were not my experience. I travelled solo and loved my time there. Fabulous beach which was close to my room (I was very lucky) and my room was great. The AC worked well and I loved being able to sit on my balcony first thing with the local coffee. I also loved the coffee shop. My only negative experience was check in. It took longer than it should have and I did report it to the manager, conceige and at check out when I was asked for feedback. Food was great, with lots of choice. I particularly loved pizza slices being available from 11am until 5pm. The staff were all lovely, helpful and friendly.

Don't waste your time and money going to this place

From the moment we arrived, the experience was horrible. The reception area is OPEN so no air conditioning ON TOP of check in taking about 45 minutes. There was no welcome drink or hand towels for us either. We were given our room keys and they didnt even show us to our rooms. The person who checked us in also didnt want to speak any english, making it hard for me (I am fluent in Spanish) to explain everything to my family. The Rooms Disgusting. There were BLOOD STAINS on the sheets and the curtains. I complaioned multiple times and didnt get them changed. The sofa had white stains on it. The bathrooms have a shampoo and body wash despenser, no conditioner. We found 3 roaches in the bedroom during our stay. Again, NOTHING WAS DONE BY THE STAFF. The concierge assigned to our building, 36, is SO RUDE. He wanted to upsell us, and when we declined, he never again spoke to us nor acknowleged us. The lady that works along side him is just as bad, especially when it came to not fixing the problems in our room and not giving us WATER, which we needed for our child. Bring your own toothpaste and tooth brush because they dont provide it but you can get it at the shop. The Food HORRIBLE. The line to wait for EGGS was like 10-15min long. Therre was one man in charge and he burned most orders. The waffle/pancake lady is the same. The dairy products were not under cold surfaces and were hot. There are no good options for kids or babies. The "chicken nuggets" were beyond disgusting. We tried making reservations to muliple restaurants, all for them to say they were "BOOKED TO CAPACITY." Without a reservation, they will not let you in, so you have to either room service, which takes forever and it stops at 11om, or eat disgusting under or over cooked food at the buffet. Whwn we walked around at night, we asked if we can come in and eat and the would not let us in. Even though the resturant had only about 3 couples eating and had more than enough space to accommodate. Food also looked "recycled" and not just from the previous service, but from previous DAYS. We also saw a lot of people putting food in their mouths and spitting it back out ON THE PLATE for someone else to have at the buffets. All the breads were stale also. Pools and waterpark The water park had too many rules and half the rides were closed during our stay. The main pools are over 6 feet deep. This is listed as a family friendly resort and for a pool to be that deep is not good. The beach area was nice and clean. The beach water was warm. Service Awful. The staff just likes to talk amongst themselves. They look bored and bothered when you ask them for something. I saw a lady order pizza in front of me and the staff was just making fun of her and apperance in spanish. Beyond rude. We went to the buffet when we first arrived and were sat at a dirty table, we had to keep asking for them to clean it. A waitor told me his shift was over and he was leaving so he couldnt clean it. We asked for A SPOON and it took them over 30min to come back with one. Unless you give them money or play into something they want, the staff will treat you like sh*t basically. This was the worse part of the experience. Dealing with rude staff. For my nieces birthday dinner, the staff was saying inappropriate jokes and comments to my sister and the family. Instead of them cutting the cake and serving it(as we were told would be done) she came out, handed my sister a knife and told her to do it. All the while my sister had my nephew in her arms because he was sick. All in all. I HAVE NEVER wanted to end a vacation more in my life. I never leave reviews like this bur I hope it saves someone from coming here The resturants DO NOT have air conditioning also.

    honest review

bring conditioner, the showers have shampoo in a wall dispenser but i am glad i brought my own lots of sunblock we went through about 3 bottles of spray and 1 bottle of cream it’s about $40 for a small bottle at the resort PLEASE TIP …i feel like i have to say this , these people work SO hard and they truly will take care of you like family if you treat them like yours…especially in the buffets…TIP …you will be surprised how surprised and grateful they are for your monetary gratitude and few dollars every meal is NOT much We started our day at the pool it opens at 7AM and then by 11 we went to the beach as the pool is just too warm for our preference and there is a special aroma that comes from the swim up bar that we only braved for the foam party 😅 Do not miss the japanese restaurant …probably my favorite meal of the trip …be warned it’s SO hot in there lol no AC so bring a travel fan with ya! The pool buffet, beach bbq and water park buffet were definitely a timing is everything type situation, too late in the day meant PIZZA for lunch! Do not skip the cafe, especially if you’re an iced coffee drinker like me lol their freezes were good but when at the water park i would ask for a cappuccino and a cup of ice problem solved 😜 Special shout outs to Darwin at check in, Pedro in the buffets and Pedro in the hibachi restaurant you all made our vacations EXTRA special and we will be forever thankful!!!!!!

Grand SIrens Punta Cana ISNT a 4 star Hotel EVER STAY CLEAR

FOR BEING A 4 STAR HOTEL LUCKY IF ITS A 2 STAR @ A PUSH !!!!!! Been with Tui for over 10 years too Mexico , Dominican , Caribbean. etc Stayed @ loads of 4 & 5 Star rated hotels. Never once had too leave an experience as bad as this Hotel EVER ... Staff badly trained, 40 min check inn / Extremely slow check-inn. No cold drink or cold towel/cloth on arrival. Even with a temp of 90deg and almost 85/90 % humidity. All requests asked for in booking were confirmed by Tui . 1 ; I advised of a serious food allergy too Tui and Hotel had been advised. Was advised confirmed by Hotel , again Hotel never advised or helped with this. 2; my wife was in recovery from a recent Hip operation , and this Holiday was too help with her recovery. But on arrival not 1 was fulfilled. Requested a walk-Inn shower , Requested a ground floor Requested a quiet room . Was never asked once if i have any allergies , and when i asked about ingredients in buffets or restaurants , very little knew how too answer or knew what i could or couldn't eat. There was no guidelines or notes too each meal or anything on each dish & When i questioned this there response was they never received anything? Blood Stained Mattress, In 3 of the 4 rooms we got moved too. IN ALL ROOMS WE GOT MOVED TOO !!!!!! Stained Duvets AGAIN IN EACH ROOM , Stained pillows AGAIN IN EACH ROOM , Broken Showers IN 2 ROOMS , Broken A/C IN 2 ROOMS Moved 4 Rooms in 6 HRS. Showers in rooms never cleaned, all blue mould ,dirty . Have Zero Allergy advice for ingredients on each dish. Mouldy Chop sticks in restaurants , Dirty Cutlery in a few restaurants Had too ask several times for clean knifes and forks for tables. Staff were making sighs remarks if you ever asked them for anything. Or asked any questions Pool area very badly looked after Steps missing into pools, Concrete surroundings pools all broken and loose, Beach Snack bar , burgers pink in the middle & hotdogs left in the sun half cooked and sittings in there own juice. Bed BUGS , Rooms damp & Smells . Mould and walls peeling. Wouldn't recommend too anyone. Several British tourist also on Holiday spoke too me during my stay and they too were also disgusted with the Hotel and conditions of the rooms , food / service etc... Some were having tummy issues since they arrived. Some were complaining about the same issues i had with there room smeels etc... The whole Hotel has been run down and isn't a good place too have good experience with. Tui were great with there response , they got all the pictures and evidence from me and they acted very swiftly and we got moved too another Hotel after 4 days. IF YOU THINK SPENDING 3K TOO LIVE IN A HOTEL LIKE THIS IS ACCEPATBLE THEN YOU HAVE SERIOUS QUESTIONS NEEDING ANSWERED I would Highly Recommend The Bahia Principe Luxury Esmeralda ....!!!!!!!

    Ok not great

We stayed here from the 9th September to the 23rd September and we did enjoy our holiday but there were a few minor and one major issue of concern. Here are a few points: Location: The location is away from anywhere built up which we enjoy, it is about just under an hour from the airport via private transfer. The beach area and the grounds were beautiful and kept clean. The sea bed isn’t rocky to the point that I didn’t bother wearing my swimming shoes. Room: We were in room 1308 and the room was fine. The room was clean and tidy, we are a couple that don't really spend a great deal of time in our rooms other than to sleep and wash in so as long as it is clean and tidy, we are more than happy. The fridge was always fully stocked. The pillows could do with being replaced and we only have the one day when we had to call reception as our room had not been cleaned. We had to phone three times but it did get cleaned while we were our for the evening. Food: You can visit all of the a la carte restaurants as many times during your stay! We would highly recommend the Steak restaurant but be prepared to sweat as there is no aircon in the restaurant. We visited it twice, the food was lovely but the service second time round was poor, we waited 15 minutes to get water and a drink, we nearly walked out as it was so hot! The buffet restaurant had a enough choice for even the fussiest eater to find something they like. There are issues with the staff clearing tables quickly and at breakfast good luck with finding a spoon to eat cereal with, there were never any out even. It looks like they are short staffed and they do try their best, for me I am on holiday and in no rush so I just remained patient. Staff: It does feel like the resort is short staffed in the restaurants but in general I found them to be hard working and pleasant. There are some that dont appear happy in their job and get orders wrong but you have to remember that for some of the staff there is a language barrier, so if I get coke with no rum in it, I get a rum and coke for my next drink. The Shops: The shops on site had many lovely bits and pieces that you could take home as souvenirs plus items that you would need during your stay. We made a few purchases during our stay to take home. Yes you probably pay a premium for their items but I accept that and it doesn’t bother me, you are a captive audience. Pools: There was just the one big pool one site, once past the swim-up bar the pool gets really deep, I am nearly 6ft and I couldn't touch the floor. I enjoy a deep pool and loved this but there is a major issue that I feel the resort needs to address. This pool has no life guards and there is a sign clearly letting you know. While we were there we saw children sliding down an inflatable slide into the deep water, the staff manning the slide were not watching, they were allowing children with armbands slide down it and we saw a young child, probably about the age of two, slide into the water and her armband slipped off, she was lucky that a young lad in an inflatable saw this happen and was trying his best to keep the child from going under until a parent (not the child's parent who was too busy engrossed in her phone) jumped in to rescue the child (said parent did not even thank him). My wife reported this to the TUI rep and raised the issue with management and the next time the slide was there the staff kept at eye on every child and didnt allow small children on with armbands. Another day, another child of bout 7-8 was in the deep end and got himself into trouble, thankfully before I could dive in somebody else had rescued him. The pool needs lifeguards but also parent have to be more responsible by watching their children at all times and not doing their Instagram photoshoots which is clearly more important than the lives of their own flesh and blood! Also, come lunch time, the swim-up bar area smelled and the water was so much warmer there.....please for the love of God get out to go pee, there are toilets available!! Bars: The bars served up some fantastic cocktails and branded drinks. When you are at the bars, always expect to be served last if people are tipping even if you were there before them, it might annoy some people but I couldn’t care less as I am on holiday so I am not in a rush. We loved the Cocktail Bar and we often went to the Sports Bar to get out of the constant heat. Overall, we had a good time but feel the resort is dated in places and needs some work done on it. The swimming pool is a disaster waiting to happen and the resort cannot count on parents being responsible so they MUST employ a lifeguard to be at the pool at all times.
