All standard rooms are a spacious 500 square feet and feature a lanai with chairs and a table. Guest rooms feature rich mahogany furniture and elegant tropical decor.

There are myriad activities to choose from during your time at Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa. Immerse yourself in the charm of the Garden Isle on your Kauai resort vacation. Evening brings the spectacle of the torch lighting and the tradition of luau. Whether you prefer action-packed adventures, blissful relaxation, or playing on the sandy beach while the kids take advantage of Camp Hyatt, you'll find a little piece of paradise at our luxurious Kauai resort. There is much to explore on our beautiful island. Outside the resort, activities range from helicopter tours to gallery-hopping and everything in between.

Greening Your Life: Part of the Apple Vacations Greening Your Life initiative, this property uses 100% of its green waste for compost and also sends wet waste from kitchens to pig farmers for feed, which helps to reduce landfill waste considerably. Waste cooking oil is collected and processed into biodiesel fuel, while the 4,000 sq. foot on-site hydroponics farm supplies the resort's restaurants and events with approximately 120lbs. of fresh produce per week.

Landscaping is tended to with biological pest controls over harsh chemical options.

The property also utilizes heat produced by the air-conditioning system by converting the output into heat water for guestrooms and swimming pools. On top of that, nearly 60,000 sq. ft. of grass-covered roofing helps to reduce cooling needs. Guests can also enjoy cashmere-soft robes, which are made from 100% recycled bottles.

    Crowded but nice

Ask for a room closer to the pools if it’s hard for u to walk far. It was a very crowded experience as they also let people buy day passes for the pools. The adult pool was great and had wonderful food and beverage waitstaff! It is great being next to a beach to watch surfers and go hiking. The free shuttle to go out to dinner was great, with great drivers and a lovely valet staff to get it coordinated. The parrots and parrot handlers were a really wonderful experience!

Beautiful property - perfectly manicured grounds!

This resort offered a great getaway with perfectly manicured and lush grounds with pools that never seem to end! It was a very relaxing experience staying here and we would gladly return. The Tidepools restaurant had a special atmosphere with excellent seafood too. We did quickly learn that we needed a car to get around as Uber is not readily available. We had avoided due to the resort parking fees, but, self parking wound up being no charge, which would have been nice to know up front. There were always adequate spots available.

    A Piece of Paradise

Had a wonderful time at this beautiful place! Perfectly located and very nice amenities ! The pool had a lazy river and water slide and there was also a salt water lagoon. The beach was nice but too rough for swimming . We saw sea lions on the beach. Restaurants were very good. Don’t miss Tidepools and we ate at the breakfast buffet a few times and it was also very good. The gym was great and had Peloton bikes! Complimentary shuttle was nice and we used it to go to dinner at a few places nearby. The departure lounge was perfect for our last day as our flight did not leaven until late evening and we had could stay and use the pool and relax during the day. Would definitely return one day! PS take the beach path to the left of hotel for some fantastic views and sunsets !!

My husband and I came to the Grand Hyatt for a relaxing vacation. Everything exceeded our expectations. Really great!!!!

Amazing experience! My husband and I had the best time. One of the best trips I have ever had. Staff was very accommodating, food was great, and overall a lot of fun. I would recommend to anyone who has not been to Kauai. I can’t say enough good things.
