The Fairmont Orchid and Island Breeze Productions announce a partnership that combine the Big Island’s finest cuisine with its most spectacular Polynesian production.
Every Saturday, guests are invited to gather for an evening that begins under the stars dining on culinary treasures from Hawai’i, Tahiti, New Zealand and Samoa on the beautiful grounds of The Fairmont Orchid at Plantation Estates.
Using a fusion of both traditional Polynesian and modern dance choreography, the dancers of Island Breeze retell the story of the settlement of the Pacific. Displayed in its fullness is the mana (power) of the ali’i (chiefs) and how each would be forever linked to the one star that guided them.

The Fairmont Orchid is the place to go to enjoy all the best in The Big Isl! Beautiful waterfront location, amazing local food options, variety of room choices (Garden Views are gorgeous and much less expensive than Ocean Front) and lovely Hawaii hospitality. The Gold Lounge is so beautiful w/ views of fountains and ocean and delicious faire with attentive staff. Waterfront has lovely protected beach with great snorkeling, swimming or just a nice float/soak! Big pool w/ lots of chairs in shade or sun! If you don't have an Accor account, GET ONE! It is free and you get lots of fun extra perks!

Loved our stay
Fairmont Orchid exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed the a most relaxing stay! The staff everywhere from the bellman to housekeeping to the breakfast servers were uniformly warm and friendly and the hotel itself is a stunning piece of plantation style architecture, even over 3 decades in… We stayed on the beautifully renovated gold floor, and loved our updated room with its elevated bed linens. The concierges are excellent and the entire gold floor staff can’t do enough for you. The food offerings were quite good and very substantial. The pool area is a bit dated, but this wasn’t a problem for us as we aren’t really pool people. Other guests seemed to enjoy it. The resort is so beautifully situated on the ocean in Kamuela and there are plenty of coastal hikes, great snorkeling, and bountiful, well kept flora to enjoy.

Snorkeling at Fairmont Orchid
Hotel is beautiful and peaceful despite being busy. Luau was incredible and Yoga by the cove every morning was amazing. But our most memorable experience was snorkeling in the cove with Matthew: we were surprised by a large, sleek manta ray swimming by! It was so powerful and graceful and took our breath away! Matthew had never seen one so near the cove and was just as excited.

Amazing stay!
Very nice hotel! We got a great room with an amazing view of the pool and ocean, where me and my family got to watch the beautiful sunsets. The atmosphere of this hotel was amazing, very open lobby which was so nice. The restaurants here were very good, and the service was great. Would definitely come back here!

Fabulous Big Island resort.
Excellent resort. Everything was top notch. Staff extremely helpful. Rooms clean. Bathrooms roomy. Grounds beautiful. The breakfast buffet was 5 stars. We ate at the ocean front signature restaurant. Meal very expensive. Mahi mahi dry and overcooked. Wait staff was wonderful. Food not worth what they charge. The out door bar next door was much better. Would book resort again. Everything else was amazing.
