Dirty musty and mildew in rooms. also 50 dollar a night resort fee??? For what? Clothes and my paper work was damp from the condensation in the room.

I’ll admit it — I’m usually an Aria snob. But on this trip, I decided to stay at Excalibur for the very first time, and I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and as someone who often travels alone, I appreciated feeling safe throughout my stay. There were plenty of restaurant options on-site, which was a nice bonus. A couple of things fell short for me: the room did not have a smart TV, and Excalibur doesn’t have a poker room. Fortunately, there are several poker rooms nearby. I was also a bit put off by how the staff handled the self check-in process. They were abrupt, not very friendly, and offered little guidance. Overall, though, it was a good, affordable stay — better than I expected — and I would consider returning for the value.

Dec 10, 2025I would not return there. There was never anyone around to ask directions or to get info.
Nothing bad but nothing good. Lack of staff to ask questions. It felt kind of old and run down. It was nice having the tram that went between the 3 hotels but otherwise the area seemed low end. We spent most of our time eating and gambling in other hotels and only went there to sleep.

Just ok
Stayed at the Excalibur for three nights. Traveled to attend a Raiders game. I’ve never stayed at the Excalibur before and thought I’d give them a shot as they had newly renovated rooms and a tram that takes you directly to Mandalay Bay hotel (quick access to Allegiant Stadium) Booked a newly renovated Strip View room. Booked reservation through the MGM website. Called to request a high floor room. They said to call morning of arrival. I opted for the online checkin to avoid a long checkin line as it was a Saturday, so when I called the morning of arrival, front desk said my room was on floor 11 and they had nothing higher. Said I would pay for an upgrade and was told they were 100% booked (at 9am in the morning?) Our view was if the NYNY roller coaster (noisy and runs past 12am daily). Room smelled like wet dirty socks. Recommended you bring a small air freshener if you stay here. Decor was ok. Nothing special. TV was not a smart TV. Some channels were blurry. All had commercials. Very limited options. No Netflix, HBO, etc. Wi-Fi was ok. Heater/Air system old school wall unit and extremely loud and smelly. No conditioner in bathroom only shampoo, smelly body lotion and body wash. No bar soap, Qtips, shower cap,etc. small fridge but worked well. Bed was comfortable. No coffee pot in the room so you have to go downstairs to the lobby to buy your coffee Ate at Taps and it was good. Excellent service and friendly staff. All staff at the hotel were great. Best part of our stay. Housekeeping was excellent!! There is no room service nor real breakfast available other than the Buffet or Starbucks. You’ll need to leave the hotel if you want a sit down breakfast other than the buffet. Asian restaurant at the food court was really good. No frills hotel. Casino not crowded and pretty fun. Win $400 on Wheel of Fortune. I’d come back to gamble and/or grab lunch but would not stay again. Good hotel for families with small kids and pets.
