    Terrible!

Checked in on 7/17 room had bugs in bed and mirror area, front desk asked if we where sure. Moved to 2nd room (7/18) NO AIR, when we went to management slow to responded are resolve matters. Third room was in area with things that looked like raccoons/cats with long tales (EVERYWHERE). Not enough lounge chairs around pool area, have to get there by 7:30 to put towel to hold your spot. Food is ok - best spot is by the pool (hamburgers, hotdogs and chicken) NO BLUE WATER! Archie (World Cafe) awesome server and Wilberth (Bellmen) very helpful and friendly.

Great overall experience and staff are very welcoming

Having arrived at the hotel, there was an issue with one of our room bookings. Jose Romero, at the lobby reception, was very understanding and provided above and beyond customer service which we were extremely grateful for - thank you Jose! In addition, all staff at this hotel will ensure your stay is a memorable experience. Everyone is helpful and cannot do enough for you. Highly recommend this resort and I would have no issue coming back!

    Wonderful stay

Just returned from a week-long stay with my 3 girlfriends. The resort was very clean and in good condition. The rooms were cool and quiet - but only one hook in the whole room to hang wet towels, bathing suits, etc (my one complaint). There was an error in the booking when we checked in that had one room booked as a king bed instead of 2 doubles - the error was fixed although we weren't in the same building (but ended up next door to each other so it was perfectly fine in the end). Food overall was good, lots of options at the buffet and restaurants were generally accommodating for the one in our group with particular dietary requests. The staff were friendly, engaging, and attentive. A great week with friends, couldn't have asked for much more!

    Definitely not a 5* or 4*

The location and drive up to this hotel is very poor! the road was full of big potholes with the taxi zig zagging to avoid the worst ones. swampy on both sides. Definitely not the best experience of driving up to what is meant to be 5* luxury. The Pool staff, Entertainment staff, Buffet staff and pool bar/food staff were amazing, helpful, polite and basically went above and beyond. Eduardo, Jose, the little old omelette lady and the deaf man who made the burgers all lovely lovely people. Food and beverages are good. one small critique no French fries only on random days. which if you have a child who is fussy eater is not good. Can be got if you order room service The lobby staff depending on who you got were rude, were not prepared to help or assist if there was an issue. If it wasn't on their system even if you had a confirmation email or proof of what you were suppose to have, they didn't want to know or try to fix. except for Jose. so friendly and bubbly and went above and beyond. Water damage and damp areas and also smelling of damp in areas within the hotel which if it was 5* should be fixed and repaired properly . This was in the world cafe at the back so please avoid it and ask to sit at the front or the middle to avoid the smell. Also water droplets over food area from ceiling. they just added a towel to the floor instead of repairing. Gym ok. on the surface it looked clean but wasn't clean. Some of the equipment had debris coming off. the windows were extremely dirty Beach area was not great.. large amounts of seaweed washed up. They did have a digger to minimise but it didn't scoop it up.. it just spread it out which meant every time the tide came in it just washed it up again. the only time the beach looked nice or appealing so people could go out was after the storm and hurricane. On the 2 days out of 14 I was there that was the only time people went into the water, because you have to walk into 5 metres of seaweed sludge to get past it. Rooms were of decent size.. but my sisters room did smell of damp too. The shop is extortionate £12 for a pack of crisps, £25 for a travel plug Almost £50 for sunscreen £35 for an Aloe vera gel which I had to buy as my daughter took prickly heat for the 1st time there. This can be bought at home for £2 Definitely would not return to this hotel, its too out of the way £220 return for a party of 5 to Cancun/Puerto del Carmen The hotel lacks a lot of things which should be basic things for its guests
