  Best holiday

  I had the best stay at dreams onyx with my family. The staff were very friendly and dedicated to giving us an amazing experience which definitely added greatly to our time away. A staff member, in the restaurant, who put in huge levels of effort to us was Yafreisy Figueroa. He made sure we were looked after everyday and definitely made our time away so much more fun with how kind and welcoming he was (Everybody Happy!!). I am missing this place a lot and hope to revisit in the future.

  An Amazing Stay Made Even Better by Exceptional Service!

  We had an absolutely AMAZING time at Dreams Onyx Resort & Spa in Punta Cana! The Check-in and Check-out process was a little rocky and took a lot longer than we would have liked. From the beautiful beachfront location to the incredible atmosphere, everything about this resort made our vacation great. The property was constantly being cleaned and maintained, so everything always felt fresh, looked beautiful, and even smelled amazing! The food was good. Some restaurants could cook with a little more seasoning but for the most part the food was good. Our accommodations were absolutely gorgeous, and the service throughout the resort was wonderful. But the true highlight of our stay was our incredible butler, Henry! When we say Henry went ABOVE AND BEYOND, we mean it! He was attentive, professional, thoughtful, and genuinely committed to making sure our experience was nothing short of exceptional. He handled every request, made sure everything met our expectations, and consistently checked in to ensure we had everything we needed. He even sent encouraging messages and positive notes throughout the day, which was such a thoughtful personal touch! Henry truly took care of EVERYTHING, allowing us to completely relax, be present, and enjoy our family vacation without worrying about a thing. That level of care and hospitality made all the difference! 10/10 for Henry! We left with beautiful memories and so much gratitude for an incredible experience. If you're planning a trip to Dreams Onyx, we HIGHLY recommend it, and if you're fortunate enough to have Henry as your butler, you're in the BEST hands! We can't wait to return! ♥️🌴

  Disappointing

  We celebrate my son‘s birthday and they never put the banner on the door like all the other doors. The only food place we enjoyed was the steakhouse. They don’t tell you about all the amenities and things to do daily. Very disappointed

  couples get away

  first i would like to say what a great relaxing week . from the quick check in at the preferred club to the beautiful pools and our food experience , everything was so much fun . the service at the buffet as well morning lunch and dinner was wonderful and welcoming . the à la carte restaurants amazing service great food clean and welcoming atmosphere. the chef philipe made us special meals couple of nights it was amazing . also have to mention santo the food concierge fantastic service (my friend is lactose intolerance she has coeliac) and he took care of her like a star always with a smile nothing was too much for him . please remember to be kind and generous when tipping, especially if you have that kind of service. the people on the pool as well great service always making sure my cup was full. nothing bad to say about this hotel honestly 5* i hope to go back 🙏

  A Beautiful Resort with Exceptional Staff, but Preferred Club Needs Improvement

  This is truly a gorgeous resort, offering beautiful surroundings, wonderful entertainment, enjoyable water amenities, and an atmosphere of luxury and relaxation. What impressed me most, however, was the dedication of the hardworking staff. From the bartenders and café employees to the restaurant servers, kitchen teams, housekeeping, entertainers, and maintenance personnel, these individuals are the heart of this resort. I particularly admired the bartenders, who seemed to work at an Olympic pace while maintaining their smiles and welcoming personalities. The dining staff were equally impressive, greeting guests warmly, accommodating seating preferences whenever possible, clearing tables promptly, and responding quickly to requests. Their teamwork and commitment to service deserve genuine recognition. **Where I found the experience disappointing was with the additional cost of Preferred Club.** In my opinion, the benefits simply did not justify the expense. Although we were assigned a Preferred Club attendant and encouraged to communicate whenever we needed assistance, the service was inconsistent. Our attendant appeared overextended with responsibilities and other guests, making it difficult to receive even basic assistance. Ultimately, I found myself relying more on our wonderful housekeeping attendant, who was consistently more attentive and helpful. On another occasion, when we requested assistance with restaurant seating, we were initially led to believe a table would be arranged. Instead, we were directed to the standard waiting line to speak with the restaurant host. This was something we could have easily done ourselves without paying for an upgraded service. Perhaps the most disappointing experience occurred on our final day. As my family and I were leaving the Preferred Club area after checking out, we wanted to enjoy one last glass of champagne. Despite having been Preferred Club guests throughout our stay, we were told that the champagne was reserved for arriving guests and were directed to the resort's main bar. While I understand that resorts have service policies, this interaction reinforced my impression that the Preferred Club experience lacked the thoughtful hospitality and flexibility one might reasonably expect from a premium service. I also had opportunities to speak with several hardworking employees who shared their wishes for more time with their families and opportunities to further their education. Some expressed that their demanding schedules made these personal goals difficult to pursue. I cannot speak to the resort's internal employment policies, but these conversations stayed with me. I sincerely hope management continues exploring ways to support the professional development, education, and family well-being of the very people who make this resort so successful. **My recommendation to future guests is simple: Enjoy the standard all-inclusive experience and save your money rather than paying extra for Preferred Club.** The resort already offers so much beauty, entertainment, excellent dining, and genuine hospitality that I did not find the upgrade necessary. I would much rather put that additional money toward gratuities for the bartenders, servers, housekeeping teams, entertainers, and maintenance staff who work tirelessly to create such memorable experiences. One additional suggestion would be to enhance the already beautiful tropical landscaping with thoughtfully designed koi ponds or other responsibly maintained wildlife features, where appropriate. These could complement the resort's lush natural surroundings and offer guests another peaceful space to enjoy. Overall, I genuinely enjoyed this resort and have tremendous respect for the individuals who make it such a welcoming destination. My criticism is not directed toward the hardworking employees assigned to Preferred Club, who appeared to be doing their best under demanding circumstances, but rather toward the value and organization of the upgraded service itself. **True luxury is not simply about paying for exclusivity. It is about feeling genuinely welcomed, appreciated, and cared for.** Ironically, I experienced that most consistently from the wonderful employees serving all guests, regardless of their membership or room category. I would gladly recognize this resort for its beauty, entertainment, hospitality, and exceptional staff. I simply would not pay extra for Preferred Club again.
